My concern is we are scoring an average of a goal a game at the moment - low for a team top of the league - and that puts huge pressure on the defence as one slip equals two points dropped. We are still favourites for automatic promotion and certainly not the time to panic but the failure to address our striker issue and the embarrassment that is Rob Hulse could prove very costly.

On way back now. Defensively we're fine, but we offer nothing going forward. We just don't create any chances. It's in attack where our problems lie. Preston were there to be stuffed but again we lacked desire and conviction.First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Whorr...everybody breath in deep...breath out slowly..do it again..and again..feel better ?..Now lets take it out on Ipswich.
Come on face it ..put ya selfs in Preston's boots..bottom with 9 points from safety your gonna fight for ya lives to stay up, unlike us who have a cushion at the top.
Put things into perspective..we are in a position that all our rivals would give their eye tooth for.

I can see why people are beginning to worry because the last few games we havent looked a threat in front of goal and its getting very close to 'squeaky bum time'. You can look at it in many ways, Preston fighting for their lives, we have only lost 3 games all season, we are still 5 points clear, where were we this time last season...........OR.......... teams now know how to play us, our luck has or is beginning to run out, our lack of a goalscorer has finally caught up with us or the players have lost their bottle.
Whatever the reason all we can do as supporters is back the team to the hilt, cross our fingers and hope to christ we dont fail because if we end up in the play off's i fear the worst.

won six games from our last 14
do that again with the final 14 games of the season and will that be enough for auto promotion?
dont think so
We need to improve or even regain the form from the opening 10 games or so because at the moment we are a shadow of the attacking force that gave us our massive goal difference.
