do we consider him as a legend? I mean it depends how you define the word, but considering the standard definition, he is on newspapers everyday even more than some EPL stars. they wrote about all his aspects from tantrums, fines, warning from opposite players to goals assists , talents and skills !
the other side that not many people see, is that he is absorbing all the pressure and tackles while his teammates rarely got tackled or kicked as him. its like his teammates they just: free the beast! and that let them their job in peace while all the rest from "tackles against" and "creation for" is on Adel.
    news from this morning :

The latest football coverage on the Daily Star. Football transfers, news, scores, results and fixtures for the Premier League, Championship, Champions League, FA Cup and more.

    and

    credit to him!

"Legend" like hero or idol is a very personal opinion and will mean different things to different people. For me Adel is already a QPR "legend" and is in the same mould as Bowles and Marsh. He may have only been with us for two seasons and some may say he doesn't qualify for such exalted status yet, My question for those that hold that view is "how many games does he have to play before legendry status can be bestowed on him?"

agree, I think in those 2 years he brought too much life and hope to loftus road, doesnt people feel more happier than before? he has something special. even in the net they were many debates about him either from our own fans or opposite fans, no other players in QPR in recent history has done that. even the games looks lively and intense with his presence and always you expect something to happen in any moment!
on my behalf I wish he will never leave QPR! no matter what happens. with the time it just feels that this club is part of the family.

wouldnt class him as a QPR legend yet by any means, certainly not in the same class as Bowles or Rodney yet anyway. Lets see if he is still with us next season? or whether he is off the to Barcelona :-)

No he is not a legend yet. Legend status is when you have played a lot of games or scored an unusual amount of goals like Rodney who averaged 1.99 per game when at QPR.
              So no not a legend.

If he were to leave tomorrow i'd always remember him in a positive light.

But if / when we go up, then he's a legend as he's had an amazing season already
                Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Not for you maybe but for me (and especially for my 7 y o) he is already a "ledge" I don't need him to reach some sort of qualification period or score a certain amount of goals to acheive this status. Perception is reality and that is my perception!

If we do go up this season, I think many plaudits will be bestowed upon him for being central to that achievement, but I'm not sure if one season warrants legendary status!

I think if we do go up and maintain our place in the EPL and we have a player who gives everything to every game over many seasons and is a central figure to maintaining our status, then he could be classified as a legend. Potentially he could be a legend, but if someone like Faurlin develops and commits many seasons to the R's, he could become a legend. I would love it if Tarbs did become an R's legend, but I suspect legends are measured by their service to the club, and I'm not convinced one season does it.

I would be amazed, and thrilled if he were with us next season but I suspect that Tarbs will bow out from wearing a hooped shirt from the end of this season.

I’ll be grateful for his contribution and will never forget what he did for the R’s this season but I think he will be one of those players who used to play for the hoops and was a pleasure to watch. I think he’s making his name with us, but will establish his name elsewhere.

Great viewpoint. And if he does return with another team, the whole of LR should stand and applaud him.

Yes, You are perfectly right to have Tarbs as your legend and for your son to have seen him this season is fantastic. Tarbs is a legend to all the young lads.
As for me who lived actually in Loftus Road since 1956 and been to Wembley 4 times with QPR, and seen the highs and lows, for me legends are few and far between.

I think this all comes down to how old you are and how long you've followed rangers tbh.

Im 18 Supported Qpr For about 5-6 seasons now and if we get promoted for me taarabt will be a legend along with warnock as ive never really seen Qpr be anywhere near this end of the table (baring the start of last season) and play like this.

But there will be those older fans who have seen it all before, and will probably never consider tarbs a legend unless he gets us to the champions league (wishful thinking).
