Not being funny but if we did sign this kid I 100% do not expect to see him in the hoops any time soon.

Getting excited about nothing really, although if he's a good prospect yea does no harm I suppose.

Would rather sign a striker on loan who actually scores goals & has experience.

no, got to get him. its so important imo
he will be on about 800 quid a week and cost near on nothing, prolly a pre season friendly and a couple of quid.
cant miss out on any promising striker like this who actually scores in a trial.

I don't see how the study should get too much in the way? Olifinjana is in the middle of studying for a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering - he has some associated qualification back in Nigeria but is now full on for his Masters. It doesn't stop him playing for Cardiff and didn't seem to stop him forging a career back when he was graduating.
Pretty sure there are others like him too?
Why can't the lad do both? Also doesn't appear that studies have prevented young Sterling from making the Liverpool squad for tonight - even if he's only allowed to go because of half term!

Thing is, Ric...Look at Beckford and Austin of recent. Both grabbed from non-league clubs, and looking good now. It'd be nice to see us reaping those awards.

Totally agree Ben, point I was making was he will not feature this season. We need our forwards chipping in with more goals & this guy may be good for the future but I'd rather sew this season up first with an experienced loan.

NW has already said he would not fit into our system. Just making the point its not worth creaming over but yes for the future it could be good.

Saw him play Canvey Island (scored a couple and wasn't on all game) a little while back. He was clearly a cut above there (and they are a pretty fit team who many will recall gave our reserve/youth a good match pre-Season) but I don't think he'll cut it at this level (let alone one above). Still, he is moving up leagues for sure so an asset if cheap enough. I imagine he will be sold or at least loaned out. But no matter what - nice to know we are looking at these teams if nothing else. Clear we are not in market to buy at any higher level.
