I think NW is trying to deflect attention away from his own well known shortcomings. As well as he has done for us this season, (so no complaints at all on that side of things), he has gained a reputation for stocking up with crap strikers. Perhaps the real reason for so many being so ineffective though, is the way he gets them playing in a particular type of system.
As disappointed as I have been with the contribution of Rob Hulse so far, not least him being the cause of my sore throat this week, I cannot help but feel that he is not being helped by us playing the way we do. What is the point of launching long balls to a supposed "Target Man", when there is nobody near him to play alongside.
I'm possibly going to get ridiculed for this Paul, but I would certainly consider playing Adel as one of a front two. Not only is he less likely to do any damage from a defensive point of view, but I wouldn't fancy being a defender with him to worry about. If he is receiving the ball in and around the box, then not only has he the talent to hit the occasional shot on target unlike so many of those we tend to play up front, but would surely win loads of penalties when the inevitable fouls start coming in.
Or am I mad ?

Have to say Sunday's performance by both Connolly and Gorkks was as bad as I have seen them for sometime, had Smith and Faurlin not got injured, would not have been surprised to see them both hauled off.
Incidently I like both players and they deserve another chance after a great season but another display like Sunday and I can see both dropped for a bit.
