Then as soon as they don't score for a few games, QPR fans, true to type, immdediately lose patience and start moaning/groaning at them, which in turn, sows seeds of doubt into the player's mind and he loses his confidence; which as we all know is fatal for a striker.

In our system, its our attacking midfielders job to score the goals, and the strikers main job to hold the ball up, be a target man and bring others into play.

Its not the way we do it but playing 4-4-2 you'd find the strikers would weigh in with more goals. Its the system, not the player.

      Capiche?
      Totally disagree.

To say a striker players in any team and their job is not to score goals is ridiculous, and I'm sure Warnock agrees as well, judging by his comments on Talksport after the game. Warnock couldnt understand why nobody like hulse was in and the penalty area when knock downs and flicks where coming in the second half, and sounded very frustrated that nobody had the brains to do it.

Also the **** play the same system as us and a certain Mr Drogba, while doing the fighting and holding the ball up, managed to score 37 goals last season, so the idea that all we should be getting from a striker in a 433 is watching them fight 2 centre backs the whole game is nonsense.

What Hulse needs is the brains and desire to be in postions that are gonna hurt teams and score goals, not standing around being dominated by 2 centre halfs.

Because we play a lone striker. Difficult for strikers to adapt to our system.

Fair play to the lad. Seems an honest enough fella just not as good as those around him at Rangers.

Hope he does ok there, good for his confidence.

I'm not saying we have great strikers or I rate Hulse, just commenting on the fact that some think if you play 1 striker up front its not their job to score goals.

Highgrade, the system NW is playing is for the big man up top hold up the ball and bring the midfield and wide boys into play, which is proven by the simple fact our midfielders and wide men are getting the goals and our target men are not.

Clarke scores for the first time this season,a tap In from 5 yards and all of a sudden he is a decent striker

I dont disagree with what your saying and what is happening with us, but some people here think this is Hulse's only job. Other clubs play this system as well, but still expect their "hold up man" to score goals and do more, hence Drogba etc scoring 37 goals for chelsea last season playing in that same position.

well theres no question about it, he has to start imo.
hes the in form striker out of the three.

slight problem of a compressed fracture!

do feel however if miller goes back and agymang is fit we wont bother to replace miller.

highgradeR, you didnt quite get my point.

I'm not saying that in our system the lone striker's role is NOT to score goals. But that is only one part of his job. The other is to hold the ball up, be a target man, flick-ons, bring others into play etc. Yes of course you can argue the degrees in which one role is more important than the other. But in our system the majority of the goals come from our attacking midfielders. The proof of that is in the pudding - hence our position 5 pts clear at the top and with a vastly superior goal difference.

And yes of course Drogba plays in a similar system at Chelsea and scores a lot of goals, but thats because they're in the prem and are paying millions to sign world-class players - so not really a valid comparison.

In his own words, NW explains why a out and out goal scorer is not suited to QPR FC at the moment and I hope Troy goes somewhere that will work on his strengths.

QPR boss Warnock said: “I like the look of the lad.

“I can’t see him playing in the kind of 4-3-3 we’re tending to use now. He’d be better suited to a 4-4-2 and playing off the shoulder of a big man – but there’s no reason to say that can’t happen either.

Fulham is a typically diverse London area with something for everyone - from the hustle and bustle of North End Road Market, to the refined chicness of the iconic Fulham Road. It boasts superb pubs and restaurants, two Premier League football clubs and excellent transport links.
