NEIL WARNOCK lay the blame for the dropped points against Nottingham Forest squarely at the door of Matt Connolly after Sunday's 1-1 draw at Loftus Road.
Bit harsh. 9 times out of 10 nothing would have come from that free kick. Gorks was far worse today. Apart from that Connolly did his job and didn't waste possession.
Shittu at the back today would have been a nightmare. Constantly launching long balls to a static Hulse. At least Connolly tries to keep the ball on the deck and get it to our flair players like Routledge and Tarabat.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.
A bit harsh on Conners imo, a very frequent type of centre back challenge, happens most games especially if the striker decides to back in and not jump, a typical 'pro' tactic to win a fre kick. The result of which was just a freak goal, so just very unlucky.
As our manager, NW is not beyond critisism, and although he is hero worshipped by many, I would like to see him justify the very wierd sub decisions he made. He missed a chance against 10, and got it wrong this time.
I think Danny should have been playing today cos of his vast expirence. I know everyone keeps saying our back line is the best in the league, stats dont lie ect, but forest are a different class to the rest of em, well they almost scored in 5 seconds scary.
