Cracking performance from 10-man Forest today. They were unlucky not to have gone 2-1 up at the break with a free header that Kenny made a colossal save for.
And despite Bradley Orr being unlucky with his own header in the last few minutes, they didn't let us play.
They quite rightly stacked their half of the pitch, bottled Taarabt and Routledge, and didn't make mistakes. Standing off Routledge and then kicking the ball away (taking away our tricky winger's trick of pushing the ball past players) was also an exceptional move.
We may not have played that well - Derry wasn't on his game (he's to hoping that my Palace friend's prediction that Derry always "goes off" this time of the year doesn't come true!) and Faurlin took one touch too many at many times during the first half (I hope he's OK after his clash of heads with Routledge) and we really, really missed Smith when he came off.
Last but not least, we played with 10 players ourselves. Why? Because Rob Hulse was on the pitch. The man was dreadful.
Onwards and upwards - we hope.
