Not settling in to a new club?
    Lack of confidence?
A combination of all of the above?

Pete alluded to the fact that its cos of fans getting on his back at home.

I asked him if this happened at the match today but he didnt reply....

Or is he still struggling with his achilles??

he has played about 20 games for us, albeit some from the bench, he has scored one tap in and he is a centre forward, he is the worse forward we have signed as he never, ever scores or looks like scoring.

          Totally agree.

Those runs up the wing by the deceptively fast Miller (given his height and bulk) and at least 3/4 tempting crosses into the box,all to no avail.Where the bloody hell was Hulse,he should have been on the end of those but kept going AWOL.:yush:

I gotta say 1st half yesterday, I thought he did OK.
But 2nd half, No ! Awful. Couldn't trap a spider. Won nothing in the air.
Only times he contributed was when he got the ball from a short pass. Twice.

It was made to look worse with Miller stuck out wide.
Ismael did his best, with 2 good runs down the touchline and pulled both back, to where Hulse really should have been.

I reckon if the 3 forced subs had not been made, Hulse would have been taken off, but NW's hand were tied once Gorkss & Faurlin went off.

Are the groans loud enough for him to hear? If so that'll lower his confidence even more and he'll play even worse.

Footballers have very thick skins and plenty of self confidence.
He'll believe his next goal is just around the corner.
He could probably do with a McGoldrick type fluke.

More to the point is whether NW thinks he should start ahead of Helguson and Miller, who I think if 100% fit would both be selected ahead of Rob.

Since this is not possible we can give him all the groans we want. And are fully justified in doing so.

He cannot win headers/cannot control a football and most importantly as a STRIKER does not score goals and never looks like scoring! Some people last week on here actually wanted him to start yeserday!!

If he gave 100% and ran his socks off then i would have more sympathy. But he is lazy and clumsy and does not even jump to win headers.

Wrong. Of course its possible. Keep up with your groaning and next time he'll play just as bad for the full 90.

hes toilet. if we want to groan every time he doesnt trap a pass or the ball goes sailing past him cos of his terrible positioning sense then we can groan.

Not often a player makes me fondly reminisce about Dexter Blackstock.
Surely he must be better than what he's shown us so far, although in his defence, whatever strengths he does have are simply not suited to the way we play best.
I think we should forget about lumping long balls at him and get back to playing football on the floor, we are better at that than anyone else in our division.

The point was made earlier that he was scoring 1 in 3 for Derby.

Groan all you like, but the question remains, what has changed?

One thing I can guarantee you though, groaning at him (loudly enough for him to hear) wont help matters for you or the team you 'support'.

                                FACT.
