  • remembering brian clough

lets make this forest game a happy one and welcome there fans, please remember that the idiots that threw glasses at us were only a mindless few
having seen qpr fans leave both bristol city fans and leicester fans laying all over the uxbridge road, can i appeal that in brian cloughs holy name we leave these
    forest fans alone

    so heres my poem

oh great one the like of you will never be seen again
forget attitude forgett having a brain
    you were just perfection
and we of qpr remember you with affection

    oh dear dear brian clough
i wished i had more,i never had enough
there could never be too much, life just couldnt be that tough

ive bought all your videos and how i wished you managed england
how they never gave you the england job ill never understand
those know nothing officials that run lancaster gate
how difficult to tell them its all too late

we will never ever win that world cup again, what a terrible shame
those officials should remember your name
you were the nearest thing to a saint, sir brian clough
and if i heard your name every day for the rest of my life, that would still be not enough

          yeah

brian clough legend we miss you so much
you could be so hard,or have such a gentle touch
the players would walk on water they loved you
rome wasnt built in a day,but you were not working on that project
your always rememberd with greatness when acheivements are the subject

you took over at forest, and turned a very average team into kings
you slowly improved every position, you simplyfied things
if simplicity is genius then you were a master
you could take any winger and make him faster

you could take a defender and make him feel ten feet tall
a clumsy midfielder you turn into a classy passer of the ball
to some players you were a father to some a mother
but when you lost peter taylor, youd never recover

He took a medium'ish size club up into the top division, gave em all a bloody nose and for years after, also done the same to europe, helped build forest into a great club..........will never see his like again.
            They seek him here.................

Peter Taylor doesn't get given enough credit. Brian Clough is a legend but lets not forget that Peter Taylor was the talent spotter and the one that knew who to bring in, so should also take massive credit although no2 never get it.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!
