  • Craig Bellamy red carded

"Meanwhile, Reading’s on-loan QPR midfielder Mikele Leigertwood was hit with a three-match ban after accepting a charge of violent conduct last week.

The 28-year-old was charged following his part in an on-field bust-up with Cardiff’s players that also saw Craig Bellamy red carded.

Leigertwood missed the QPR game and is also suspended for the trips to Norwich City and Sheffield United".

If he was red carded in the same game how come he played against Swansea on Sunday? Has he appealed?

    Yes he appealed.

When will we hear about him being let off by the FAW?

CARDIFF CITY, and captain Craig Bellamy, have been charged with misconduct by the Football Association of Wales following incidents in the Championship clash with Reading in midweek.

The club face two charges of failing to control their players both during and following the match which saw the Bluebirds claim a late point through Bellamy’s injury-time leveller in the 2-2 draw.

And Bellamy has also been charged for alleged improper conduct after the dramatic game for an incident "in or around the tunnel area".

Reading have also been charged with two counts of failing to control their players during and after the game, while midfielder Mikele Leigertwood has been handed a three-game ban after accepting a charge of violent conduct following a clash with Michael Chopra.

Both Cardiff and Bellamy have until February 14 to respond to the charges.
