Was interested to read that Lopez's agent is Alex Bonnot - don't suppose that makes negotiating a reasonable deal any easier but out of all these mentioned I would love to see him get a year long or other short term deal.

With the return of Buzsaky and Rowlands plus the emergence of Ephraim through the middle there definitely isn't a need to keep both Lopez and Miller but I would be tempted to keep one and release Mahon as well.

Who do you recommend?

Assuming an average 1st team wage is around £7000 a week which I have heard quoted before that puts Paladini on £291200 per year (exc bonuses)

Now if Ali Russell is on more then him then they are collectively costing the club £600k +. Lets round that off with bonuses and call it £750k.

So by my estimation season ticket sales for the Paddocks should cover Russell & Paladinis annual salaries.

Could this money be better spent elsewhere, I'd probably say yes.

Do we really need to buy loads? I feel its best to get a settled team - and if we added 2 or 3 new players, wed have a good side. 2 new strikers, and a left back for me - along with buzz and vine back - would be good enough. A goalkeeper also of course,

Like previously mentioned we dont need many additions to the squad. However a lot of people are ruling out the possibility of poor form from returning players. We've all seen how poor Lee Cook has been since his lenghty spell out, so whos to say Buzsaky and Vine will be as good as they were after their spells out? Heck add Rowlands to that list too!

On paper, and if all on top form, we literally only need 2 strikers. If Delaney could regain his form from last season we wouldnt need a new left back, but thats not likely to happen!

Id wager that Blackstock and Camp will be sold for fee's, with perhaps somebody suprising like Leigertwood or Gorkks being the subject of bids from other clubs(thats not to say we would sell though). The likes of Mahon, Rehmen, Jake Cole, Dicarmine, Ramage and possibly even Delaney could find their days are numbered along with a few of the youth teamers.

Id like BOTH Lopez and Miller kept on next season as you have to account for injuries and poor runs of form from the returning players next season.

It would be a perfect summer if we could get Taraabt on a season/ half season loan, a new Left back and 1 proven striker with 1 wildcard striker too.

Ideally my targets would be:
Tommy Spurr- Left Back
Taraabt- Loan
Fraizer Campbell/ Ricardo Fuller- Loan Up front
Simon Cox/ Gary Hooper- Up front
And maybe a back up goalkeeper.

A lot rides on people like Buzsaky, Vine, Rowlands, Cook, Routledge and Rowlands all playing at their best next season! If they dont, we'll be in a similar position we are in now, perhaps a bit higher with a decent striker. If they all have good seasons, I really would fancy us to challenge for Playoffs and above!

We need 3 new FULLBACKS at the club, not people like Damien Delaney, Connolly or Ramage playing out of position.
We need a Left Winger.
We need a Striker.
The problem this season has been a lack of width, we have not got any problems in goal or through the middle, its out in wide positions where we have fallen down this season.
I dont have any question marks over the likes of Buzsaky or Vine, their class is self evident, Rowlands however is a different story, he has had a poor season & will have to buck his ideas up next season if he even wants to be considered for the starting 11, Lee Cook isnt even on my radar anymore, I hope he can have a good pre-season & do what he needs to do fitness wise, but my underlying hunch is that he is a busted flush, & if that is the case, then we should just be ruthless where he is concerned, if you havent got the required level of fitness, athleticism & speed / strength, then you shouldnt be going on the pitch in the first place, should you ??
