    I saw £600k-5m.

I doubt it's up to much more than £2m.
    Your mum would love me...

oh and we get mentioned more than liverpool in this article about the boy wonder.

Born in the Caribbean and raised in the shadow of Wembley Stadium, prepare to be dazzled by Raheem Sterling. He banged in five goals in a youth game this week.

'In the end, the kid came and said he wanted to leave. I realised we'd lost him and had to make sure he went to the best club.'
Al though there were rumours about other clubs, Gallen insists Liverpool and Fulham were the only two that tabled offers. Sterling moved to Merseyside, and joined Rainhill High School, in St Helens.

If all clauses in his deal are met, our net will be just under £2m IIRC.

Bit disappointed he left. It wasn't like Parrett where the money effectively kept us out of administration.

I suppose though at the time, the parents took one look at the managerial merry go round and the other administration shenanigans with FB and thought, no thanks.

Probably took one look at the house Liverpool bought his mum to (very nice) to be fair it was still a gamble, at 15/16 things can still go wrong, i remember people on hear saying take the money for a 15 year old and spend it on proven players, he could have ended up like parrett, where is he now last i herd at Aldershot on loan?

The article also says there is a healthy sell on clause, which could be 10,20 or even 25%. If he ever leaves for 20-40M like Rooney, Carroll etc. that could represent far more than the initial fee and add-ons.

Didnt think he would make the bench and makes sense. The lad needs building up first. Liverpool aint silly !
