  • A seemingly unnoticed performance from last night...

    Rob Hulse.

thought he had a lot to do playing up top on his own with limited support when we went down to 10. held off mills and ingimarsson well. kept the ball and gave it to the likes of taarabt and routledge to do the talking.

admittedly, he should have scored but apart from that I thought it was his finest display for us so far.

Average at best. Miller did far more in 15 minuted than Hulse has done in 11 games.

Do me a favour. One of his finest?

All about opinions, I spose, but there is no way he was great.

he got away with just being his usual self, (which is a worker and not a goalscorer) because we won.
if we had of drawn 0-0 i dont think he would of got any praise whatsoever. he did a good job, as did everyone, but without waynes goal it would of been a case of 'if only he wasnt so crap' im afraid.

To be fair, he does very well... up to about 25 yards away from goal.

Then it goes a bit ...wrong.

                Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm...

the guy is a big lump he should be able to hold others off the ball etc but the main aspect of his game ie. scoring goals is sadly lacking...

A very workmanlike journeyman pro at best and should we go up then he would embarrass himself and the rest of the team in the Premmo so will hopefully be shipped off to.. say.. Palace...

I agree with the original point -- he does the job we need him to do very well.

In the system he'll not get many chances as if there were crosses coming in all the time but I do also agree he needs to be more clinical when the odd chance does come along.

I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

Lblock you are totally wrong. The job we need him to do well is score goals. He is, after all, a striker. He doesn't do that well.
                      Thought Hulse was rubbish personally.

Hulse's first touch yesterday (and for most of the season) was very poor. He did well vs Pompey but looked out of his depth last night. Miller was awesome last night again. He has a good first touch and makes space for himself, wins headers etc etc..Use Hulse (if we have to) for the last 10/15mins if Miller is tired. Still rate HH above Hulse.
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

I thought he was absolutely useless!! Doesn't run, doesn't jump and looks like he doesn't care. He also spends more time on the floor than Heskey.

Seemingly un-noticed? Everybody noticed it and has commented at length - he was, as normal, crap.
