i think and this is just my opinion. we underestimate how hard it is to play upfront on your own. yeh he missed a few. but he has to play along the whole line himself and i think the problem he has is his fitness. a player playing on his own up top has got to be a machine and maybe miller and hulse have only got 60 mins in them both. but thats not enough. we have won a game and he didnt make us lose. so i will cheer for him untill he does. as long as he doesnt walk around and he puts a shift in. Orr is a confidence player. when we went 2-0 up on tuesday the bloke was a different player.

No pace, no mobility, not even that threatening in the air, and apparently no idea where the goal is.

before Miller came on we were heading for a 0-0 draw, and looked happy to slow the pace of the game. Paddy was taking as long as he dare to waste time, and chances were rare mainly due to poor hold up play by Hulse. He did his best, but Miller is on a different level. Strength and size of a phone box, he made the difference between 1 point or 3 imo.

It does make me laugh that when our fans have their say, it's always because we're 'looking for a negative'

Not at all. Being honest and truthful. Great team performance. I'm elated. Just a couple of below par performances. Unfortunately, it's been a regular occurrence for Hulse.

As I've said, I was very happy when we signed him as I've always rated him, so for the record, I'm gutted that he's proven me wrong. Miller on the other hand, looks far better. Has pace, and a desire to drive at goal.

Just my opinion, so try not to get upset at my extremely negative view.

I'm such a non-believer, and I should be stoned to death as punishment.

Hulse or Miller? I think we can all agree on who we would choose, and after last nights proof I think Neil knows now too.

Hulse never been good enough and said it all along. I couldn't give him 6/10 in any game I've seen him.

Miller is our number 1 forward by a long shot but will not be firing until March as not fully fit.

Agreed... I thought Hulse looked alrite last nite! Granted, he's not taking his chances, but I can see him getting into good postions which suggests his off the ball movement is good and when he has it and is not in front of goal, he has reasonable control, takes his time, looks around and picks out a decent pass.

He also does get on the end of some of the chances that come his way, obviously he just needs to find the net. IMO, I think he's the type of player who, once he finds the net, he'll start putting a few away.

Have to agree with Benny re Gorkss. Really like the guy but he is playing at his limit. 100% effort always but his distribution is awful and in the prem, he will be torn apart. Shame as has been always so committed for us since joining.

Have to feel sorry for some of the players as they will obviously feel so elated if we reach the perm - only for several of them to likely find out they will then get replaced .

                    But that's football....

You can see that Gorkks is a good defender, but sometimes he doesnt mark well enough on set pieces.
He sometimes loses a bit composure.
Connolly was excellent yesterday. It was a breathtaking moment when he headed the ball away from danger and Paddy couldnt do nothing but smile.
So close to an own goal that one had to smile. But what a maneuvre!!

Oh, and Hill was excellent. He is my favourite player these days!!

Yes indeed, there really were many great performances last night. I just love watching the passion of Warnock as well. He's such a pantomime villain as well - the reading fans were angry and laughing at him at the same time.

When that goal went in, I was dancing round the room. Even the Mrs was! You beauty!

                        press conference

                        Neil Warnock:

"You look at our clean sheets, they start from Rob Hulse. I thought he was super tonight, keeping the 2 centre halfs occupied...you defend from the front. Its not just the back 4, you win with 11 men"

True, but what about a striker doing his job and putting the ball in the net!
Don't like to be negative after a great win, but this lad is looking a shocking buy at the moment.

He is doing the donkey work in the team. Not easy to score when you have your back against the goal all the time.
