  • LEGS of WOOD, ... or not anymore... ???

I've stumbled across a little post match report from one of reading fans about their last game with cardiff which ended as a 2-2. It's really interesting how much they all love legs, one quote in particular where the poster gave him 9/10 for the game "9.0 Elwood. everywhere. Wins so much ball, brings confidence to the side. PLEASE sign him. AND scored." and then goes on to say - "Elwood
made countless tackles, countless clearances, loads of passes. He is a VERY good player and makes us a noticeably
    better team"

Oh and if you havent realised by now his nickname is Elwood apparently, which is righteously g@y in my opinion. They actually would all agree on purchasing him from us in the summer. Would you be happy to see him go, or do you think he's found his form and we should implement him back into the team?

    Forget it !!

Not good enough for us !!

He has gone to a club , he is obviosly playing well , scoring goals, making tackles etcand he is trying his hardest to impress a new management .... a bit like when he first came to us .

Give him a season or two to slip back into his 'don;t need to try too hard comfort; zone and he'll soon forget how to find a team mate from 5 yards.

Sell him, not good enough for us.

Although he obviously improves their team, so I'm pleased he won't be playing Friday, as whoever they bring in must be even worse.

on his day he can be awesome.... though way too inconsistent!!
The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.

            Let them have him.

He can't trap a ball let alone pass it to a team mate.
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

Wonder if the constant barracking he used to get played any part in his poor form???

Fairly sure if I was barracked at work for everything that I done my performance would decline. Would have him ahead of Rowlands in the back up stakes everyday of the week

he started like that for us as well. I think he gets a bit comfortable.

Legs didn't get barracked for any other reason other than him consistently underperforming. If you think he's contributed as much to the club in his time as Rowlands has then that's your view, but you'll be in the minority.

Didn't we pay near on a million for him? What would we likely get now do you reckon? I'd say £500-600k

900 grand I think. If we could get £500-600k back we won't have been to badly burnt. If you can say that about that type of dough.
