Heard a snippet of a report from Talksport last night midway through first half of Cardiff/Reading when Fakers were apparently running riot. Reporter said that Jimmy Kebe was ragging the Cardiff left-back at will and causing mayhem. I dunno much about Kebe but it sort of made me wince at the thought of him carrying on like that against Clint Hill this Friday. I do love Clint but I've never really thought of him as a bona-fide full-back.... hopefully he'll have enough experience and belligerance in him to neuter this Kebe fellah though (or just rake his achilles in the 3rd minute....).

Well, eh. Yes. I know what you mean! I "adore" Clint Hill, but I really hope he will look at the ball and not Jimmy Kebe´s feet, if he doesn´t, things can get nasty for poor Clint(and us) I´m afraid..
Hence, relying on his experience will be the keyword for Clint on this afternoon as well!!Last edited by Shania; 02-02-2011, 09:52 PM.QPR

In fairness to Hill (who i think has done well this season) he rarely gets majorly caught out. Imo he has been better than Orr who looks shakey..
Anyway onto Kebe, i mentioned in another thread he was there main danger man, Shane Long is in good form but for the entire game at Loftus Road this season (bar his wonder strike) our defence had him in there pocket...
Kebe has pace to burn, and a great eye for goal. Head and shoulders is there best player by a mile..Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

No pace, but positionally reads the game well imo..Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

Hill did okay last night, it was Orr who struggled and looked well below standard. He couldn't control, pass or clear the ball at all. With Chimbonda and Danny available we could quite easily replace them both. Play Conners at RB, DS and KK in the middle and Chimbonda at LB. So no real problems (at last!)22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Kebe missed the game at Loftus Road whilst McAnuff's pace was nullifed by Walker. That and we have NO luck with officials whenever we go to the Madejski, and, of course, we're on Sky!
Not sure it'll be quite the same game this time...http://eatsleepdrinkblogfootball.blogspot.co.uk - an independent look at all things football in general and QPR. Twitter: @ESDBFootball
