  • Benni McCarthy

According to the Telegraph and NewsNowQPR, McCarthy has turned down an offer of £1m from W.Ham to dissolve his contract. I have no opinion either way,but is it worth still trying to get him on loan with HH injured,Hulse not showing his past form and Miller needing to get match fit.

Good shout Gee. Was amazed when I looked at his stats what an incredible goal-scoring record he has. Know he has had problems in recent times but at least he is someone who knows where the net is - in marked contrast to any of our existing front line.

      Cheers SIAL, I agree.

In fact my source was The Telegraph and Ceefax and not The Telegraph and NewsNowQPR as previously posted, and don't fotget that drink we both keep promising.Perhaps we'll have it after we've beaten Reading and Forest as that will set the team up nicely for the run in (new striker permitting).

Stain I find you a good poster, however I think you need to be a little more patient regarding our strikers.

Ok Hulse hasn't scored the goals we had hoped but you need to at least give Miller some time. He is an incredible athlete that I believe will become a big big player for us. Yes he has been out for a very long time but once he gets his sharpness back I really do think the goals will come.

Don't underestimate him and yes he might not be Sir Les but he is a very good striker and certainly the best striker since Paul Furlong.

McCarthy is NOT the answer IMO.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

What makes you say that? His goalscoring record and injury record is shocking. I like the look of him and I feel he may come good but he isnt 'certainly the best striker since furlong' when, at this level, dexter blackstock is a better player IMO.

Dexter Blackstock????? you are joking derick?

I can't take you serious when you post such Rhubarb!

FFS if blackstock didn't get injured, we wouldn't have forest on this incredible unbeaten run.

The problem with getting in anymore players is those within the squad that the manager does not want yet will or cant leave. These include a couple of fans favorites in Rowland and Cook and other such as Vine.

I am afraid there is no sentiment n football and none of these are now good enough, whatever they have given in the past. The truth is get rid of these and we would have more options but they either can't, or in some cases will not leave. The simple reason being they are pay well and have their settled life outside football. Would you leave a well paid job and have to up root your family when there is little benefit to you or that family. The answer is probably no, so then please do not go on about Cook and Rowlands loving the club as they will always put themselves and their family first.

Whilst I do accept and understand that I do not buy into the Rowlands and Cook legend camp. Good servants but we have moved on and they clearly don't want to !
