Our fans are no better and no worse than fans of any other club.We all want our club to succeed, and all have differing opinions as to how that should be achieved. You should hear some of my Gooner mates moaning at the moment-no silveware blah blah blah-falling too far behind ManU etc etc etc

    It's all relative.

      well

i think im one of the most embarressing fans but if i hadnt declared war on sousa in petes phone in we may still have another season of nil nils
if im associated with sousas sacking im very happy to be so
but it is as isleworth said only 13 per cent of the posters on this site wanted sousa sacked or replaced
i had no choice but to try to oust him it got me banned from four message boards and i lost a lot of friends on the message boards but stann bowles saw me standing outside the ellerslie singing briatore at the top of my voice at least i am prepared to get beaten up for my beleifs
but as soon as i heard his whole training program was defence defence defence....that was it for me...in my eyes he was another wilkins

the dot org is a difficult web site to break into they hate change...but here you will shine

respect to superkat who has argued with me on so many differant occaisions

the difference between Conners and W12 (WHO BOTH MAKE VALID POINTS)is that conners ##### the fanbase and uses highly sensitive words such as unloyal, not proper fans and dismissing past loyal support as irrelevant-THATS NOT ON- but he is clearly provoking/looking for a reaction
Conners,Im sure Flavio and Mr Russell would be delighted that you are urging non renewers to jog on,we dont need you,we will get new fans, when come the start of the season these people will be itching to go and support their team
From a personal point of view i would envisage going to at least a dozen home games, so if I take your great advice and stay away thats around £500 in revenue the club would lose, thats the way to keep us financially stable isnt it conners,Alan Sugar you aint my pedigree chum

Don't worry they will. If thats not true, why does every football club in the country increase capacity when they are doing well? Where for example did 40,000 Millwall fans come from. Will be they be their next season, week in week out?

Sadly, I've not had a chance to prove it, but this club consistently wins games and you will see the crowds return. Get promoted and we'll have trouble even getting a season ticket, even if they charged more.

hope your right Pete, and crowds will increase but will be along the lines of Fulham, where by deals and such will fill the ground not inflated prices, again hope you are right though

You obviously weren't around (or possibly not a fan) in the early 90s? We were a top flight team getting 9k-10k attendances at Loftus Road. Sure, we filled out for the top teams (Chelsea/Man Utd/Liverpool etc), but those were probably "Premiership fans" or opposition fans, rather than QPR fans.

Pete - add Gillingham fans to that equation.
40 thousand plus fans of which at leat 30,000 probably did not attend 1 game last year.Fans?
Crowd wise - our best seasons (and im sure i will get corrected)were when we were in league 1...we were getting crowds of 15 K -which includes fans like me - 8-10 games a season...Hardly glory hunting, but regular irregular fans.

Thes are the floating fans out there which we need to get back.I have witnessed first hand the sort of fans Chelsea have attracted. They know **** all about football let alone Chelsea.Yes it boosts the numbers - but they are not fans.

C.Clunge - not sure if it was directed at me..but have been watching QPR since late 70s.

To support QPR - you have to be a football fan,a fan of football as opposed to a fan of a brand.(Just my opinion)

Cait, in terms of determining the cost of a season ticket you need to try and forget that Briatore and Co are here.

My point is that with a small average attendance that we have, that it is very difficult for a club the size of QPR to sustain a position in the Championship given the expenditures that come with a Championship club. You need to disregard the quality on offer. QPR quite clearly have Championship quality players. If they didn't they would not have finished half way up the table.

We, as fans, expect the board to bankroll us. Even with the prices we are paying they quite clearly are bankrolling us.

Yes, the cost is high, however, the cost is still less than the real cost of supporting QPR in the championship. A business needs to breakeven.

My thoughts re all of this are based on us (fans) keeping the club should Briatore walk.

Fans always point the finger at chairmen but he has a job to try and ensure the club does not get into too much debt.

You just need to look at the likes of Southampton to see the reality of it all.

Football fans need to campaign for salary caps. Until they do, prices will continue to go up.

As for these clubs all giving special offers. They can do it as much as they want. At the end of the day, those clubs need to pay bills and if they have a stadium full of people paying a tenner each then:

                            a) they will be very popular
                            b) will go out of business (being very popular)

Conners - i think anyone investing/buying QPR or many other football clubs these days, must know that these clubs are nearly all running at loss.In fact I cant understand why anyone would even touch a club like ours.

We have an average fan base - but loyal average fans base.As fans we have been dipping in our pockets for years know one way or another.

I just feel that their pricing structure is just too high.I dont mean they have to reduce it dramatically - but I feel they are slightly out of touch with the reality of the normal football fan.For sure - if we get to premiership then I expect to pay premiership prices.

You and me can argue all day and we will still disagree on this point(nothing wrong with that)But given a choice between the new fans we are trying to attract, and the fans that are objecting to price increases - I know who i would choose. The fans that will stay supporting the club will be the fans that have been coming for past 10 -20 years as they pass down their loyalty to thier kin or friends.New fans will not know who Radek Cerny is !! But - they will probably pay £25.00 for a club sandwich...

There seem to be a few on here who seem to see a conspiracy in everything our board do.
Iam sure that if season tickets came down to £100 they would claim that Flavio was deliberatly trying to bankrupt the club so that he could purchace the land for housing.

Others would moan because Flavio is trying to buy popularity.

And others would be completely stuffed as they would no longer have an excuse for not coming to LR,
