w12 i make u 100% right i honestly think if flavio announced all season tickets are now £100 i think we would sell at least 16,000 and everyone would be jumping for joy on the basis that anything else ie;new players etc would be a bonus,so yes it all comes bk to the price of ST's

More than happy to be called a platinum nancy boy, but first and foremost I am a loyal fan that supports my club financially.
Top post W12.
You could put season ticket prices down to £100 and the greedy fans would still moan.
I wouldn't even have a go at Briatore for his four year plan. Is it not better to have a plan than not ? Besides, he is only eighteen months into it FFS so why the f*** are people moaning.
Quite clear even for thick people to see that we are making progress. Remind yourself where we were the day Flavio walked in and then take a look at Norwich, Southampton and Charlton and you still can't see why we should be a lot happier ?
This club is going somewhere. That is why I really don't give a t*** about some of the fans that are voting with their feet. They will be replaced at some point and sooner rather than later. I would hope with the youngsters of tomorrow. I don't want to see the youngkids walking around Ruislip/Greenford and all those areas in Chelsea shirts. They will be QPR ones.
To clarify, i have not been 100% happy with everything Flavio has done, but for the first time in years this club has a future. I think it sometimes upsets those that have a role to play when things don't go to plan ( all these different supporters groups). They have no power anymore and they don't like it.

Lol Conners - another messageboard and another personal slight at fans.Listen, you make good points as does W12 etc, but maybe 3london is right - the internet is quite a funny place.
Im quite sure that if all the people slightly annoyed with ST sales and those that think they should renew whatever - had this conversation in a pub - war would ensue.
Attendances are down, despite the fact that we have new owners. The new owners should be sitting down and thinking why this is.Our current financial situation(Globally not just at QPR) is a key factor.Im pleased that you can afford season ticket prices, but some simply cannot. However the fans that you are trying to alienate and replace with"nouveau" fans - just doesnt wash.
I just don't buy it that these fans are just going to appear from nowehere.I also cannot believe that many on here can dismiss these fans who have supported the club through thick and thin. Its a very divided fan group at the moment and i believe that a club like QPR cannot afford to lose such fans.
I dont want to attract new fans based on the same factors as Chelsea.I want to get the fans like me...8 gamers...to come to more games.I want the club to try and win back the fans who haves issues with ST prices. These fans have put money into the club in the past and will do in the future. The "new" attracted by the boutique style is not what this club needs.
We need to keep all exisiting fans - for and against current issues and build on those fans. And yes - a small minority will moan - but that's life.

Spencer, some good points.
Look lots of mistakes have been made in this last year, but we have moved forward on the pitch. I still think that a lot of these problems would not have been problems had we finished in the top two.
The team has not the fans expectations on the pitch (despite the fans being told it was a 4 year plan) and they now want to address every little issue that has happened throughout the season.
Yes i have been concerned with some of the things that have happened, however, the teams standing within the league has progressed and that is with missing three very key players for much of the season.
Just think the fans need to sometimes stop looking for someone to blame and start to take some responsibilty themselves.
We were losing 3-4 million a season before Briatore came in ? Why ? Because we as fans were not paying enough given out small average attendances. We are a small club and if we want to compete with the big boys then we have to pay a bit more per head.

Originally posted by W12_Ranger View PostTalk of not renewing, asking for refunds, writing the new coach of before he is even announced. Some of you on here need to gain a bit of perspective and stop bleating on about our hard done by we are. The biggest problem from what I can see is the cost of season tickets because it is used as an excuse to have a moan about everything.
As far as I'm concerned we are mid table Championship club, who for best part are financially stable and have a decent chance of making next season's Play Offs. One problem is we have the highest season tickets prices in the league but to me that is just the way it is going to be so I accept it. I pay £700 for my season ticket (which is more than 90% of other supporters) and so does my Dad who can ill afford it but got himself an M&S Credit Card at 0% interest for 12 months to pay for it. I have not heard him complain once about the cost of his season ticket, instead he can't wait for new season and neither can I.
Some of the names being branded about for potential signings and managers is embarassing to read. Have we not learnt nothing from the time since Flav & Co took over about the kind of outlay they intend to make to get us out of the Championship.
I'm not convinced season ticket sales would go through the roof either if a big name was announced because our miserable fans would then be waiting to see who we sign etc. I can see matchday tickets for the best part being pulled in line with the cost a season ticket costs per game to make up for the shortfall in sales which means having an ST basically garuntees your seat and thats it. I have no doubt no matter what ST sales are we will still average 13500 like any other season.
Some posters on here give me the impression that they will not be happy until the ground is half full and it is quite concerning to read how sad and bitter some of you have become. For those not renewing because you want a big name etc without realising it you are becoming everthing we are suppose to despise.
I think QPR fans will be giving the Geordies a run for their money for the title of most deluded set of fans next season.
The difference between the 2 camps are people who aren't happy with the way things are will post to criticise what's happening at the club and state what actions they are taking and why. The people who are happy, post to #### off supporters that aren't happy and try to make them feel that they aren't proper fans.
There are many fans who have been season ticket holders for years, decades even. Who in the past have made financial sacrifices to purchase season tickets. They probably would have made sacrifices again next season, but won't because they don't think it's worth it. People have a life outside of QPR(Well some do) and feel that the way the club is being run that their money will be better spent elsewhere. There is also a credit crunch on. Some people have said that they won't buy a season ticket but will pick and choose which games to go to. WHy is that so wrong.
So go ahead and #### off other fans all you want. However you may feel different when you eventually get a life.

No problem with people who genuinely can't afford a ticket, however, Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea & Ipswich fans etc don't seem to have those problems.
In general, I believe that the slowing demand for season tickets is more to do with unhappiness with the board etc as opposed to the prices.
As for fans that have been loyal in the past, as harsh as it is to say, it is fairly irrelevant. We have all been loyal in the past, as have Southampton, Charlton (in particular) and Noriwch fans but look where it has got them.
Season ticket money from the last twenty years has been invested a long time ago. QPR needs money for the future.

Well they are not exactly good fans if they are leaving every other poor f***** pay to keep the club going whilst they turn up as and when.
I would say someone that makes a long term commitment to a club is a better fan than someone who turns up occasionally. Maybe I'm wrong, but don't think I am.
If every fan becomes a "when I feel like it fan" the club won't survive.

You are making an assumption that many who post on here wanted Sousa sacked but to me it looked the complete opposite as the vast majority including myself felt he deserved longer.
If you and others feel Pete organised some kind of campaign then fair enough though I disagree as I honestly feel he was just expressing an opinion but surely a campaign involves many other fans and there is no evidence of this happening despite some wishing there to be.
