Some of you on here need to gain a bit of perspective and stop bleating on about our hard done by we are. The biggest problem from what I can see is the cost of season tickets because it is used as an excuse to have a moan about everything.
As far as I'm concerned we are mid table Championship club, who for best part are financially stable and have a decent chance of making next season's Play Offs. One problem is we have the highest season tickets prices in the league but to me that is just the way it is going to be so I accept it. I pay £700 for my season ticket (which is more than 90% of other supporters) and so does my Dad who can ill afford it but got himself an M&S Credit Card at 0% interest for 12 months to pay for it. I have not heard him complain once about the cost of his season ticket, instead he can't wait for new season and neither can I.
Some of the names being branded about for potential signings and managers is embarassing to read. Have we not learnt nothing from the time since Flav & Co took over about the kind of outlay they intend to make to get us out of the Championship.
I'm not convinced season ticket sales would go through the roof either if a big name was announced because our miserable fans would then be waiting to see who we sign etc. I can see matchday tickets for the best part being pulled in line with the cost a season ticket costs per game to make up for the shortfall in sales which means having an ST basically garuntees your seat and thats it. I have no doubt no matter what ST sales are we will still average 13500 like any other season.
Some posters on here give me the impression that they will not be happy until the ground is half full and it is quite concerning to read how sad and bitter some of you have become. For those not renewing because you want a big name etc without realising it you are becoming everthing we are suppose to despise.
I think QPR fans will be giving the Geordies a run for their money for the title of most deluded set of fans next season.

For every Burnley there is Charlton, Southampton & Leeds United waiting in wings. Its all well and good highlighting Burnley but do you actually know what kind of state their finances were in when their current board took over compared to ours?
Burnley in case you didn't know is one of the most socio economically deprived areas in country. It makes good business sense and is a fantastic PR stunt by their board and they should be commended for it. However, our football club is not located **** hole northern town where an asbo is seen as a qualification. Mister Briatore, Ecclestone & Mittal were not interested in Burnley were they, it was QPR they chose to take over and thank **** they did.

Sensitive soul aren't you and I admit I could be a little bit more tactful with my postings. However, I do fed up with people using the latest example of 'how a club should be run' (Burnley) whilst forgetting the last 'how a club should be run' (Charlton).
I hear Middlesborough could be facing £80 million debt and staring admistration. Don't they have the best chairman around in Steve Gibson???
One thing for sure which I'm pretty confident about is we won't be faced with adminstration again with Briatore at the club regardless of Ecclestone & Mittal's input.

Good post w12, i enjoyed that, and i agree with you...
Thing is if season tickets were £400, after a bad result people would still say "ha what a load of rubbish" and would make some remark about how its not worth 400.
IMO some people just arnt happy unless there moaning......sad really!Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...

The thing is I can comprehend your points and would like to see certain things done differently but on the balance of things I'm happy and if we were getting it right on the pitch then we wouldn't be talking about inteference from the board and ST Sales.
I've gone in to one a number of times regarding many of the before mentioned issues, I even met Paulo Sousa 2 weeks ago on a train platform and expressed my disgust at his treatment.
We now have the chance to get it right and have a good pre-season, players need to stand up and be counted and those with chips on their shoulders need shape up or be shipped out. We need stability I'm sure the board now realise this now and I wouldn't be surprise this why an appointment has taken so long, they need to find the right coach to take the club forward.
What I'm astounded at is that so many are failing to comprehend is that the players haven't even been here so whats whats the rush to announce a new manager, the transfer window hasn't even opened yet we are screaming about making signings and Flav has not finished his last bottle of bronzing oil off in Monte Carlo.
So chill Winston we will get it right, I do believe we half way there already :boss:

well this will be Flab's second full season of his "4 year project to get in the prem"......so maybe all the rumours of Magilton and Boothroyd are wide of the mark and the rumours of us after Adebola and other players of his ilk are all wrong too. Maybe the board has decided to step up a gear after last season and appoint a good manager, stick with him for the whole season and supply him with the players he requests. Guess we will find out over the next couple of weeks and until then i wont be stumping up any of my hard earned on a ST so the imbeciles who ****ed up last season can sit opposite me wrapped in their cashmere blankets laughing their asses off at me.

W12 Arise...you are our new leader. At last the silent majority speak!
I couldn't agree with you more. It's just commonsense that's all. I understand the club are still losing money and fans still moan about ticket pricing. Guys, it's called business brain or not going bust which is exactly where we were heading.
Ok, we are on a bit of a rocky road at the moment but Rome wasn't built in a day.

w12 i make u 100% right i honestly think if flavio announced all season tickets are now £100 i think we would sell at least 16,000 and everyone would be jumping for joy on the basis that anything else ie;new players etc would be a bonus,so yes it all comes bk to the price of ST's
