We'll be fine. Relax mate, dont worry so much, and have some faith in Neil and the boys.

This scientific fact is particularly pertinent on a match day when our players can pick up on any anxieties and negative thoughts emanating from the crowd.

So all the more reason for us 'supporters' to keep the faith, stay POSITIVE, and show SUPPORT.

The reason our strikers are not scoring is the system we are playing. Our front man is drawing defenders leaving space. Thats why Adel and Jamie have been getting the goals.
Its nothing to do with having a "decent" striker. If we played 4-4-2 then it would be different but thats how Warno wants to play...5 points clear ! Trust the boss !!

          Exactly.

The striker or 'forward's' main role in Neil's system is to play with his back to goal and act as a battering ram, to be big and strong, hold the ball up, then distribute it to the oncoming midfielders, or if it comes in the air, to knock it down or flick it on to them.

If they happen to grab the odd goal here and there, thats a welcome bonus.

The proof is in the pudding, hence our league position, 5 points clear at the top and +30 goal difference, and all the other stats and facts at top of this thread.

This obsession people have for a goal-scoring striker is just conditioning, because they've been led to believe that is the blueprint for success. i.e. thats the norm, but just because its the norm, doesnt mean thats the ONLY way to do it, as Neil is proving. People just need to think outside the box a bit and see that there are alternative approaches that can be equally as successful.

Leaving aside the different perceptions of various facts on this thread...

Have to say, for a team who has scored so many, and lead the division... that is a remarkable statistic.

funny how decent strikers do actually score on their debuts.
that keane bloke some people on here didnt want here for one, and sturridge, suarez and bent all got off and running, which keane said was 'so important to do' for a striker.
just makes you think how much we really are going to need to upgrade if we go up. some serious rebuilding needed up front for us.

forest, watford, swansea, cardiff, leeds, norwich and millwall have all got a top centre forward.
and dont give me the old 'but we are above them' chestnut.
cos we are much better than all of them and our manager is by a country mile the best manager in this league, so we should be ahead of them by a lot more than we are, and we would be if a striker chipped in with the odd toe poke or pounced on a rebound from an adel shot once every month or so imho.

Wow! Those professional managers and footballers haven't got a clue! If only they knew how much easier they could make it for themselves.

agreed. do you reckon heider would not of completley screwed up that open goal header last week if we were playing a system to suit the striker then yeah?

great answer. when you cant think of anything else to say in a totally rational football discussion, pull out the old 'the managers know nothing but you do' one.

Does it really matter who we have bought or not bought who has scored or not scored, the fact is we are on top and even it was on goal difference i would like even 1 true QPR fan to say he thought we will be top and 5 points clear with 19 games to go.
Be happy where we are and stop winging if we had this player or that because it is all hipothatical and we should be Extatic NW has brought us to this position.
Remember Charlton fans saying AC has taken them as far as he can, well they were right in one expect because since AC's departure it was all downhill.
Please appreciate NW's efforts and judgement and get behind him.

                            ok mate, fair enough.
pete you can close the forum down now, cos bhujio doesnt want us discussing football or qpr anymore, cos we are top and we should be happy and stop discussing the beautiful game and all the conversations and topics it brings with it.

No problem discussing but allways winging for strikers is a tad annoying/boring.

plenty of other issues being discussed on the board.

You dismiss everything that doesn't fit in with your myopic views.

Yes, I'll use the old chestnut 'but look at the table'. We've also scored 15 more goals than the teams on the list you provided.
