in general were not really playing very well at the moment.. Even the coventry game was fairly poor, two great individual goals but the performance was below par..

Tonight again we struggled to get going, kitson was a constant thread...

Major positive of this though is that even though we arnt playing to our top level we are still winning... Hopefully when we pick our form back up again we will be smashing teams.

beating teams or at least not losing whilst "playing below par" is a thing that every other team in this league would love to have...it means that we are not firing on all cylinders and theres more to come....enjoy not destroy.

And if it wasn't for Paddy and the back four keeping all the clean sheets where would we be. And if it wasn't for Derry and the rest of the midfield doing the donkey work where would we be. Ok Adel is scoring goals and has a lot of assist but football is a team game and every player has played their part in getting us where we are.

The reason we play one up front is to allow Adel to roam and the reason he has started to play more wider at times is to loose the man marker. If an oppossing team put a man on him to mark him all the time and he drifts out wide and they follow him it creates space for other players. If they don't he's got more space and time.

Just get behind the team and appreciate what all the players are doing.

My main concern is the strikers. Playing one up front and Taraabt pretty much out left all the time, the options in the box are limited, especially playing with two defensive midfielders. Our one-up-front policy has yielded just three goals in open play from our lone strikers - that simply isn't good enough.

Is it really not good enough when you have Adel scoring a goal every other game (not to mention his highest assist rate in the league record)? If we lost him to injury or suspension lets cross that bridge when we get to it. I'm confident we have the manager and squad to deal with that eventuality. e.g. changing the formation so you didnt use a system that revolves around one player. 4-4-2 for example. We use Adel in the present system because that makes the best of his talents. If we lost him we'd change the system. But at the moment its all hypothetical.
