Spurs flop Adel Taraabt says Manchester United want to sign him

COCKY Adel Taarabt reckons he is on his way to Manchester United – a week after claiming his agent was in talks with Real Madrid.

The Moroccan did not make the grade at Spurs as he failed to convince boss Harry Redknapp that there was an end product to his stepovers, so joined QPR this season for £500,000.

Taarabt said: ”Nothing is official yet. I had discussions about my transfer after my performance against Coventry City. I’m ready to go to Manchester United.

“We’ll see later in the season, as I’m hoping to reach the promotion target with my current club QPR. I like England, so I am not against the idea of continuing my career at United.”

It seems he probably will be leaving at the end of this season but would be silly to do that a he could demand so much more later on if he stayed. I know The People is full of rubbish sometimes

Over confident and unrealistic are words that spring to mind in regard to Adel.

Why is it unrealistic? If Benzema and Di Maria are playing at Real Madrid why cant Adel play at the top? If Lucas and N'frog are playing at Liverpool why cant Adel? Apart from probably barca, there is no outstanding team in world football that is too good for Adel imo. Name me a top side apart from Barca, and I will tell you players Adel could replace.

prob with the majority of english football fans they rather see average grafters, rather then 'mavericks' what ever you want to call them that will throw their toys out every so often. This is why the English national team are so poor and will get even worse. If I was Adel and Man Utd were interested in me, I'd pack my bags straight away. Fair play to him. Atleast he has some respect and wants to get us promoted instead of requesting a transfer right now.
