Saw a stat the other day that he has been involved in over half our goals this year. Of course we are a one man team!

Rodman, I kind of agree, BUT
If all those who've played this season are equal contributors - let no one sl@g Hall or Clarke or Borrowdale, etc. For the 1% they have played so far !
Many have knockex them, some have demanded they leave the club, some have celebrared when they have (temporarily). No double standards, OK ?
"ODD display of genius" ? Really ? I can think of at least 30-40 flashes of genius (goals, assists & making the oppo look silly), and about a handful of flashes of petulance. I'm not going to consider poor passes as not even Messi gets it right EVERY time. And I'm a Season Ticket holder not an occasional (and I'm not suggesting you are)
I'm not convinced you (or I) are qualified or close enough to speculate on what other players think about him. Most quotes suggest he's an enigma, frustrating at times but a genius generally. NW confirms this, and I'll take his opinion over yours or anyone else's as he actually works with him, almost daily.
That said, I agree, he's no Captain. But most can see once he's flicked a coin, he plays no Captains part for 90+ minutes.
Derry does, amongst others.
Club Captain Fitz Hall anyone ?
Hopefully, you read this in the spirit it's intended and I look forward to your response .

Finally, someone I agree with.
Personally, I don't think we would be "mid-table" without him... that does show a lack of appreciation for the others.
But I'm as sure as I possibly can be that we would not be top either, without his multiple moments of pure f***ing genius.
No way of proving this, either way.... so this is DEFINITELY a matter of pure opinion!
I will say that our system today was part of the reason we didn't win, and our system does *at times* over-rely on Adel Taarabt.
But when he does his stuff... we're all happy bunnies.
You win some, you lose some with him.
But you probably win more.Final Version - Hope you like it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d1z0UQ0eqRM

Rodman,
You make some very valid points.
But, there is no doubt that he is the main reason we are where we are, is there ?
Very few players over the last 40 years that I've looked forward more to seeing do their stuff. And we've had some bloody good players in that time.

There's no doubt that he's a great player who has won us several important games this season with moments of pure magic. However, we are certainly not a "one-man team". Would Taraabt be so effective without the support of Derry and Faurlin behind him? Quite possibly not. Equally, our back four and goalkeeper have been very solid all season. We also have a superb manager, who, in my view, has played a crucial part in Taarabt's recent success.

There is 11 players out there every week and ALL of them contribute to where we are now.
Anyone would think that Taarabt has single handedly scored every goal, saved every shot, cleared every upfield punt, won every free kick and headed every clearance the way some of you go on about him.
