  • Charlie Austin To Ipswich..

    Fee agreed according to SSN.

Good buy for any Championship side. Ipswich going for it by the looks of their acquisitions today.

They should be more worried about getting sucked into the relegation battle at the moment.

2 good signings though, but I think 14 points adrift of play off is a bit to far, especially considering how strong the top 6 are.

Shame, I thought he would make a good addition to our squad. He would offer something different to the strikers we have.

£1.5m not a massive amount more than the cost of the 4 lads we've brought in for the rest of the season...

not that i think we should've signed him as we dont, but just pointing it out.

Can't remember the last time we signed up & coming potential or used our finances to beat other clubs to a sought after player.

Had the same convo with a pal yesterday as it goes.

Although I have read on here recently we are looking at young hot shots from the non league game. Few gems hidden in there.

Yeah buts probably too far the other way. We should be picking up gems from Champ/League 1. Others do all the time whilst we'd rather loan aging has-beens.

Millers' deal is very much reliant on West Brom signing a striker. If we lose him, Hulse and Helguson aren't going to get us promoted

                      Agree with that.

We should have gone for him,end of ,at €1.5 million that's good value and we are still very short of options up front, especially now HH,Angymang and Miller are all injured, but despite NW praising the board to the hilt he has been told no money available so we were never in the running

I didn't want him, never did
                              Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                              And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO
