Looks like Rio would have been talking about him in training etc, so lets hope that AF was not listening.

Adel Taarabt: Yes! I'm on the shelves of the prestigious club Manchester United. But nothing is official yet. I had discussions with the managers of the English club about my transfer after my performance Sunday, January 23 during the match against Coventry City. I'm ready to go to Manchster United. So we'll see later in the season hoping to reach the target with my current club Queens Park Rangers. I particularly like the English league and so I am not against the idea of continuing my career at Manchester United.
That translation hasn't made this clearer !

I've got no illusions that he'll be with us next season, regardless of whether we go up or not.

We will not be able to build a team around him in the same way next year if we go up, and he will get an offer from a bigger team.

I'm going to enjoy him this season, and hopefully watch him get us promotion and become a QPR legend, and then probably go on to become a worldwide star.

      That'll do me.....

in an ideal world-we'd get promotion, double his wages and have him for one final season-seeing him run rings around some of the prem's best at loftus road would be a great way to say bon-voyage.

Highly unlikely I'm sure the club wouldn't permit that, wouldn't that actually be tapping up the player?

                  Don't believe a word tbh.

Though if it were true you have to smile at Adel's sudden epiphany and new found love for English football (which he has always derided in the past) now there is a prospect of Man U (reserves) on the cards.

He will move when this season ends no matter what and who could blame him?

I honestly believe Adel is a bit like Le-Tissier - better off being a big fish in our rather small pond - where every one loves him and the whole set up of the team centres around him.
Imagine how he would feel as a bit part player elsewhere?
Would Ferie show him the love that NW has.
Ah yes, just like he did Ronaldo I hear you say, but is Adel mentality in the same place as Ronaldo's was - I'm not sure if AF's methods for Adel would be the same or as effective as Sir Neil's

Seeing as Neil Warnock admitted in his last Independent column to "talking" to several players long before making an approach to their club I'm not sure he would have too much of a leg to stand on.

agree with that Bush, unproven in the Premiership, if we go up and he proves it in the top flight he could chose any team in Europe
I must away now, I can no longer tarry

This is possibly the subject of a whole other debate. But there is a question mark about whether we would want Adel going up to the Prem. To be devil's advocate, if he really was considered a game-changer in the Prem he would not be here. That is a cold fact. If any other Prem manager wanted him in their first team they'd have come and taken him. by now. No disputing that. Fact is I think they think that Adel will not cut it in the Prem where the defenders are better/faster and where losing possession will be punished more often by more ruthless and better attacking forces. And I have a sneaky feeling that assessment may be right. All gifted and attacking players like him will lose the ball fairly often but his inability to see or make the simple pass is a weakness that even his biggest fans must acknowledge. He must learn to release the ball better.

Meanwhile, and luckily for us, this weakness in his game means he will stay with us for the foreseeable and run NPC teams ragged.

As much as i obviously don't want him to go anywhere i think the suggestion of him playing for Manure is hilarious...
He wouldn't last 5 min with some of the players around him, they would rip him apart for trying to beat 4/5 players or shooting form obscure angles when he should be passing to players in clear goal shooting opportunities...

Could you imagine Rooneys reaction if Adel shot into the side netting when he could have given him an easy chance to score... And then waved Rooneys protests away as if he's irelivent as he did to Smith and Routledge on sat..

There is no way AF would offer him the protection that NW gives him now and he would be left sulking in the reserves in no time...

He has to be the star of the show so he’s better off staying with us where he's given the freedom to do pretty much what he likes...
                              We got our Ranger's back!
