  • Our set pieces and lesson learnt?

Coventry should have punished us when Eastwood went through following a corner of OURS. Our full backs need to be slightly more withdrawn when we attack, especially as Orr and Hill are no Kyle Walker (in terms of pace getting back)

Hopefully we will learn this for Hull, which on paper will be an even tougher game than Coventry.

Agreed. Also hope we learn from this to mix it up a bit (eg Faurlin taking some of the free kicks and even corners - we never score from a Tabs corner from what I can remember)

Yeah without walker I have to admit corners worry me because of the counter attacks. Also maybe faurlin or smith to take corners and adel should hang just outside box. Also routledge should stay on half way line to deal with the counter attack maybe

Orr scored from a taarabt corner v Scunny, but that was a long time ago.

Gorkss scored a brace v Donny, I can't recall them, likely than one of them was from a corner.

But I agree Adel's delivery from free kicks and especially corners has been poor generally.
Although the last couple of games he's got better by getting it past the first man. A Prime example was Sunday and Miller's header which was blocked on the line. Ishmail's reaction suggested he thought it was in.

Strange really because his delivery from open play is extremely good once he decides to pass it. Just ask -
        Routledge (Coventry)
        Smith (Coventry away)
        Helguson (Scunny)
        Hall (Barnsley)
Ephraim (M'boro & Sheff Utd away)
        Mackie (Swansea & Leicester away)
        Faurlin (Bristol City)

I forgot to mention that a break from Coventry from one of our set pieces happened a couple more times but came to no avail.

It happened many times vs Watford and we were punished. If we learn from this we will definitely go up.

In my opinion CB's should be in the box from a corner or free kick (unless free kick is direct),full backs should be further back if they haven't got the pace.

our defence play to NW's orders so it's a bit rich when he slammed them against watford
