  • No One Else says Warnock

On the way home listening to Talk Sport, Neil came on to speak with them after he had finished his press conference, when asked if he was happy etc.
He said something along the lines of, i am very happy i had a meeting with Ishkan, Bernie & Flavio in the week and they said they wuldn't be buying but he pushed them for some loans then to help him achieve promotion and this is what we've now got.
He was also asked whether anymore players will be coming in and he said would like to see a centre back come in (which i took as Shittu from the current goings on).

So it looks like we won't be getting a striker then like we all wanted but hopefully as per today Wayne and Adel can link up/cover each wing whilst we will have Miller, Smith, HH or Van Moen as our target man

Sounds ok to me, for now

Said might get a defensive type player, but if honest I'm happy with I've got.
Also said flavio was at the game

One of the 'Target men' (strikers) like i said, it's just that he wont be spending money on an out n out prolific goalscorer was what i meant.

HH was hamming it up as he knew he was going to be replaced soon anyway so was trying to save his embarrassment after another dismal display...

Would have preferred someone with a better record than Miller but given that we have it wd be quite a big ask to expect another striker on top. Miller and Hulse competing for one place is fine, Routledge and Smith can also play in a more central role.

Not fussed if we dont get any more players

After seeing Routledge and Miller today we already got 2 outstanding players and another 2 on the way

Just need to off load a few players

No surprise that we have hung up our corporate boots on new signings. 3 (probably 4 in the end) loans is, though, a pretty poor signal of ambition from a team throbbing at the top of the table I have to say. Cardiff put their stall out and strengthened much more. So have Leicester. Others haven't shut down yet. Today's result has given everyone a warm glow which is lovely but.....who knows

No proven and fit striker will remain a disappointment and a source of stress for me. ( Yes, Miller did alright today but Coventry are pretty poor and it was really only one burst from him that impressed so I remain a bit anxious).

Wayne is a fantastic signing. I was gutted we sold him last year and am thrilled he's back. Blinder today for starters.

More I think about it less I'm getting the point of Shittu tbh. Blah - not my money paying him and cover is nice so fine by me.

Want Buz back - could make a big difference in the run in. Like to think Cook could do likewise but suspect he'll struggle for 1st team time

We should and could have done better though. Really it wouldn;t have been tricky.

If Big Dan does come back great, if not life goes on. But, and it crossed my mind a few times yesterday when Derry was flying into tackles, who do we have to replace him if he gets injured/suspended. Id hate to think of us going into a big game without our 'leader'. He is absolutely vital to us
