There's always been that chat floating around that while he is a top player when things are going for him, when we go behind he can be a liability.

Thought he went a long way to proving that wrong today.

I thought he looked very dangerous up until his goal, couple of decent efforts just wide etccc.

One of the best things about him today was the way he was getting stuck in at the end when we were holding on, even charged over to right back to closed someone down.

He'll feature heavily on Soccer AM again next Saturday.
            Championship goals and showboating.
In fact, they could probably put together a 10 minute showboating collage of just him at the end of the season.

The only player I recall them doing anything like that before was Ronaldhino.
That's how good he can be. Perhaps we should start a campaign ?

1st half he did lose interest a couple of times. I'd like to see Derry or some of the others gee him up, encourage him like Wilkins used to do with Sir Les.
A pat on the backside and a "keep going son, don't drop your head, you'll do it next time !"

Gerry I think players are clocking now, and closing him down with legs closed never mind will just flick it over heads now.

He won me over when he still performed as winter set in.... thought he might be sort of player who likes/needs perfect pitch and sun on his back but I've been proved wrong. The sheer graft and work-rate he put in at Burnley last week was massively impressive too. He's strong as an ox and don't appear to be injury prone. In getting on for 40 years of watching Rs I've never seen anyone close to matching the impact he's single-handedly having on a season. As far as I'm concerned he could have 15 duff matches on the spin now but he's "banked" so much credit/influence already I'd still love him and continually pick him.

I find it quite amusing as so called football pundit after football pundit come forward to stake their claim to declare that this Adel lad has a very special talent, something the majority of QPR fans have been saying for nearly two years now.

I have been watching football and QPR of course, since WW2 and have been privileged to have seen the likes of Matthews, Carter, Finney, Zidane, Marsh, Bowles etc.etc.and I truly believe that he will be up there with the greatest of them all.

Long may he wear the Hoops and I for one will cherish every frustrating, magical moment of it. Yesterday's goal and the pass for the winner will stay with me till the next time he steps out to play for us.

I have one regret as far as Adel Taarabt is concerned, that is, that he is not eligible to play for England.

I think most of us knew a few months ago that Adel would be moving on in the summer, I knew it as soon as I saw the video of him that Yousef or the moroccan put up a few months ago. Also a midfielder who is one of the top 5 scorers in the championship is bound to make clubs notice, he might go to Spain because of taxes or France because of the language.

I have been supporting QPR since 1987 and Taarabt is the best player I have ever seen in Rangers shirt.

I won't pretend that Adel hasn't always been flavour of the month with me. Mainly due to greed and his inability to play the team game. At the start of this season, he looked to have cracked it. He became the complete player. A young man who clearly wanted to help us achieve our goals and in turn become a firm fans favourite. At times, even I wanted him dripped as he was too inconsistent, whether some of you wanted to believe it or not?!

He unfortunately went back to his old ways after about 10 games, and we weren't winning as freely as when he used the rest of the team. Recently, well, the last 8 or so games, Adel has got it together again and is doing it all for the team, and not just himself. I think the loan of Routledge will have pleased him more than Warnock. Now he has a player to gamble on his world class passing. Not to say he's not thankful to the rest of the team as without their battling qualities, Adel couldn't do half the things we're seeing. But in Wayne, he's got a lad who'll make many things Adel does look even better.

I'm really looking forward to the next few months now.

It really is ours to throw away.

To the non-moaners I say this: enjoy this special, special player while you can. He is an extraordinary talent who half way through the first half looked totally disinterested and wasn't in the game, but then did a few things that not many players in the Premiership could even attempt, still less pull off.

Boothroyd, though pretty rude, has a point: what IS Adel doing here? He is sure to move on to bigger things eventually and I hope when he does Rs fans won't bombard the message boards saying "this shows the board lacks ambition", "Adel is a traitor" etc etc - just enjoy watching him now, remember this time, and feel privileged to be there to see his wonderful skill.

The word "legend" is massively over-used in football (for instance I've seen Gareth Ainsworth called a "QPR legend" when actually he was just a very good servant of the club) but Tabs is rapidly becoming one. I was too young to see anything more than a glimpse of Stanley Bowles but I've been lucky enough to enjoy Tony Currie, Simon Stainrod, Roy Weagerlie, Andy Sinton, Ray Wilkins and Trevor Sinclair among others in the blue and white hoops - and with the possible exception of Currie I think Tabs is up there (in many ways he is even superior).

By the end of the season he will have been here two years. If he gets us promoted I'm really starting to think the term "legend" would no longer be hyperbole. Thankyou Adel, you make watching Rangers a real pleasure.

He's averaging a goal every other game this season - a ratio most strikers would be proud of. And with the strikers we already have I really cant see the need for another one IMO.
