I know this was on sky and the majority of people watched it, just want to throw my footballing knowledge into the mix 
I went to LR today thinking we would completely demolish them or get beat 0-1 and as i said before i knew king would be a real handful. They were mainly a long ball side but it worked, they won every header, people slate king but he bullied connolly and gorkks throughout that game. We were sucked into it and at times it was if kenny and westwood were playing goal to goal. Atmosphere was shocking but with 13k there it was expected.
Kenny - Did all that was asked of him with ease. Pulled off a stunning triple save second half, unlike last season I dont worry about our keeper making mistakes.
Orr - Ok, not great. Sucked out of position a lot and his decision making is poor, heads the ball behind when there is no need for it.
Connolly - Calm, composed and a good passer of the ball. But he was taught a lesson by king today, he didnt win headers and didnt bully king off of the ball.
Gorkks - Average. Fair enough if your going to come out of position to win the ball, but ffs if your going to go for it win it, dont get twisted and turned and leave space.
Hill - Ok, Bit slow at times but at least he gets stuck in and gets physical.
Derry - 100% committed effort, won loads of tackles and came out on top of the battle with the center midfielder.
Faurlin - Sloppy first half but second half was very good IMO. Very unlucky not to score from a free kick and his passing ability is astonishing. Although not fully fit i was impressed.
Routledge - MOM, very good performance. Better than Mackie IMO and definitley more threatening due to his pace and trickety. Took his goal well and was a constant threat.
Taarabt - Only decided to turn up on 45 minutes, threw a strop in the first half and i dont think he touched the ball for 20 minutes, but f*ck me when he wants to play he is fantastic.
Smith - Ok, gave his all but not really as threatening as he should be for a winger.
Helguson - Won a few headers and got a few fouls but their center backs gave him a hard time and it showed. Missed a sitter and came off injured.
Subs
Hall - We were losing all aerial battles so hall came up and did the job, won a few headers and helped us keep our lead.
Miller - Very impressed. What a man! Look at the size of him, he is hench and he's quick. Gave away a couple of fouls and was a bit rusty, he could make a real impact for us this season.
The ref was a joke, gave a lot of decisions towards them. IMO big dan would have coped better with king, and before he scored i said the abuse he was getting would bite us on the ####. I think he would have scored a lot of goals in our team if we would have signed him. I still think we need another striker, someone like kevin phillips because if we were going for it in the 80th minute and we only had hulse + clarke on the bench i wouldnt be confident in scoring. We took our goals well and although it wasnt pretty, we got the job done.
