When is this Board gonna realise that transfer windows are like picking the teams in the school playground.
One team goes first and chooses a player he thinks is best and so on, until towards the end all you have left are the not so good ones that no one else really wants, but you have to field a full team so you choose them anyway.
All the sensible Clubs are putting their hands in their pockets and buying the players that they believe are gonna make the difference between where they are now and possible promotion.
I am not saying that either of them were perfect for us at the moment but Fryatt, Yukubu, Parkin.
All scored on their debuts last weekend I believe. How badly could we have done with just 1 goal last week.
Sad thing is, it's not the first and it won't be the last time this season that 3 points end up being 1 just because we have failed to address the lack of a PROPER STRIKER at this club for the last 4 years.
So here we are, 3 weeks into the window and I can't believe we are all arguing the toss over wether a 37 year old probable has been, or a much younger sick note is the answer to the goals needed to secure promotion.
If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable.
10 days left and seeing as our owners are not prepared to part with the small amount needed to secure fit, young or old, regular goal scoring Strikers I fear we are nearly down to the fat kids and the couldn't kick a ball straight if their life depended on it.
