  • Ishmael Miller to QPR? - from WBA official site

The line that really stood out for me was:

"In the last 18 months he hasn't been able to play one game of 90 minutes."

Should fit in quite well then.

Yep, massive risk this one. Think I would prefer if it didn't come off to be honest, so we could get someone more reliable in.

It's not like he's a real quality player/goalscorer even when he is fit.

firstly it explains why we haven't been able to announce his signing...

secondly, he is a direct replacement for Dave. He won't start games ahead of HH and Hulse, but can come on as an impact sub for 20mins or so. He's only 26 so he should get fit pretty quick.

i don't see what the problem is.

Yep it clearly is. Surely this isn't the right time to take a risk on a centre forward, especially one who hasn't managed 90mins for the best part of a year.

Call me old fashioned but i'd rather see us 'gamble' on a striker who could pass a fitness test (mind you that's probably rule out all our current mob)

I know we were linked to Leon Best recently, and since he's been getting a bit of game time at Newcastle he's lookign decent, however he's probably not in their longer-term plans. I would much see us try and get him on loan.

There is no way we'd sign a player under Warnock who couldn't pass a fitness test. Yes I agree this is a massive gamble but he is a proven striker at this level. He is also very young too so he should bounce back. Have a little faith people, I've got a very good feeling about this one!

I'm sure we wouldn't, but its how long he would stay fit after that which worries me. Just look at his record.

I think we'll get Miller but probably not until end of January, so he's got a couple of weeks to improve fitness. If he's a replacement for Dave then not so much of a risk imho
22nd February away v Charlton is the 40th Anniversary of my support of QPR and my first game. Away v Chelsea 3-3 23rd Feb 1974. 40 years of pure magic!!

Just hope whoever we sign knows where the net is! Dont want to blow our chance of going up. Next year would be very tough if we arent promoted, as we'd have no chance of keeping players like Adel. Get a decent striker in or 2, complete the job, and go from there

Disagree - We'll keep Adel for at least the first six months. If we are relegation fodder at Christmas I'll think he'll ship out, but imho, our owners, whoever they are!!, will spend £25 - £35million on players come June. Onwards and upwards you superhoopsaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!Can't wait!

i dont see this as a major problem.. im confident that HH and hulse can do a job til end of season. miller will just add that pace at the end of the game.. just like agyemang.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                          Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

i dont think it owuld be possible to keep him, even though we will be mad not to want to. He will have huge demand in the summer if he continues like this, and who could blame him to leave? If we take our chance and get promoted this year, I see no reason why he wouldnt stay.

So Dando - what sort of price do you think we cold expect? If the young Chamberlain guy from Saints is being touted for £10mill and he's not proven yet, what price for Adel? £15mil?
