Agreed, hence why we made a loss of £18 mill last year. But this 125k per week loss is just being added to the club debt, and doesn't impact on Mittals or Bernies personal liability at all, and I'd like to know if they plan to put anything into the club, or just keep taking from it.
Bankrolling is one thing, bleeding it dry is something else, and would eventually lead to administration and losing our ground.

If the owners were a bit more communicative about their plans for our club then maybe the doom speculation would be settled. It's the fact that they say absolutely nothing that causes the concern.

Man Utd owed nothing before the Glazers took over, now the club is 600 mill in debt!

The rewards for getting to the prem will cover our 10 mill loan, so the club could at least own the stadium again, but then the board won't earn the interest on the loan. No wonder Bernie isn't keen on promotion.

Our loan which is secured on the ground is why the owners are with us. They will get there money back Plus some if the ground was sold.

The first richest, Man City, who beat Leicester last night have spent so far £162 million http://www.skysports.com/football/ma...354669,00.html

What am I missing here? Why the huge differences? Is he waiting with a £30 million pot for NW if we get promoted?

Bernie's not getting any younger, if he wants to leave a legacy he better get on with it so he can live to see the new stadium and QPR in europe, if not, why did they buy us and save us?
So far since the takeover some £42 million has been spent on QPR. You're right they really need to get their finger out! The facts are all there to be seen for yourself if you care to do a bit of research.

Ecclestone is trying to get us to the premiership with as little outlay as possible. I don't expect our current owners to ever break the bank on signings. If and when we get to the top tier I expect us to operate on a small budget. Any idea of this lot forking out bundles of dough on QPR is laughable. Some might argue 'why should they?'.

If we get into the premier league the football club will be more able to refinance the loan to sarita holdings. The board will still own LR as collateral if things were to go belly up in any way. They are in a win-win situation and will never lose money on their 'project'. Even if we got relegated from the championship they could cash in by selling the ground and paying themselves back what they've laid out.

The first bit in bold - One of the most stupid comments ever! I own a company and have done for almost 10years - I don't need to communicate to you or anyone else my plans. You simply get on with doing your bit supporting the club as a supporter. Unless of course your going to put your hand in your pocket and pay whats required. There really is no pleasing some people is there.

The 2nd bold bit - Yeah I am sure little Bernie wants to keep fronting £125k+ a week in losses and doesn't want us to go up so he can earn what around £1million a year in interest on the loan. Thats a right no brainer that is?

Don't mean to jump on your back but come on ffs. Have you forgotten we are still top of the Championship, still favourites to go up with some of the best players in the league turning out in blue and white hoops every week. Do try and think about what you're posting please.

First part. Clearly, and idiotically, you're mis-reading the point. Which is, that logically, if you keep your plans secret, then you will promote speculation, good and bad. This is a perfectly normal human reaction to the unknown. I don't need to ask for permission to convey my opinion if I'm not employed by that company, especially so if I contribute to the gate. Yes I agree the owners don't need to communicate those plans if they don't wish to, but they have to take the rumours and speculation on the chin if they don't.

Second part. The 125k pw is perpetually added to the club debt which continues to grow at an alarming rate, and not from the owners pocket. The 1 mill annual interest is added to the personal wealth of the owners because apparently they also own the company that loaned it, so they are borrowing from themselves. If the club were to start reducing it's losses, for example premier league and TV money, the owners income also reduces, which impacts their personal wealth. Hence, do they really want promotion?

You seem to be confused between the clubs' financial state, and the owners personal income from the club, which is utterly different. This is a surprise considering you run your own company also.

I am happy where the team is, but concerned where the club is going financially, but I suppose we could just bury our heads in the sand and blindly support the team. I look further ahead to where we might be in 3or 4 years, or if we might still exist.

I hope you can take critisism as well as dish it, because the highlighted statement is truly naive. Its called choice.

As far as the board are concerned it isn't about money. Why would two of the richest men in Britain get involved with QPR. It's small beer. The ground, the ABC loan, they're barely relevant. It is about a project, a plaything and most of all it is about EGO.

They have set out to show that they can get a cash strapped relegation haunted Championship outfit off its heels and into the Premier League. They don't want to throw fortunes at it. That wouldn't be classy or fun. Just enough to get the job done.

As for Ecclestone, if you observe F1 you will know that he often says one thing tongue-in-cheek and then does the complete opposite. The not wanting to get promotion was just his whimsical humour. I am amazed that anyone took it seriously.

As for speculation that will be there whatever they tell the fans. Why would they want all that angst from engaging fans in their plans. Don't be daft.

Yes I agree, and some good points.

I am utterly passionate about my club, and the owners are so powerful and this is why I worry. Sorry if it comes across as moaning and depressing.

The owners have history, and they could turn this club into a top 3 in england if they wanted to, they could also swat it like a fly, and its those two extremes of possibilities that are so uncertain.

A story. It is alleged that Bernie once sold 50% of F1 Ltd to a german bank, only to inform them after the deal was done that F1 Ltd was a 1% subsidiary of F1 holdings Ltd. So the germans thought they owed 50%, but they actually owned 0.5% of F1. The figures may not be totally acurate, but you get the gist. Ruthless.

So a German banks legal & financial experts wouldn't of known what they were buying no? Don't buy that for 1 single second. They would of had to absolutely scrutinise lots of paper work, contracts, turnover sheets etc etc before signing on the dotted line. I have no doubt Bernie is ruthless but a stroke puller as this story suggests I can't see it personally.

As the good old folk in Glasgow would say. PISH!
