May I direct you to the player who has more assists than any player in the Championship. It's about movement at the end of the day and since Taarabt has been at the club we have not seen a striker capable of that.

Phillips is the sort of player that only needs one touch, its why he has been so prolific in his career. A striker with quick feet in the box capable of playing of the last man, age doesn't matter. You may not get 90 mins out of him but we don't get 90 mins out of Taarabt either.

Because he doesn't expect to play 90 mins every week, he's about the best player we could hope to sign.
Others of similar ability are unrealistic, purely because they are younger.

I'm not saying he is the only striker we should go for, but he'd be the first (along with Nugent) that I'd approach.

He is a class above anyone in this league when it comes to tucking a chance away... often late in a game.
