    Townsend btw.
Nodge - can you explain to me how Galaxy can allow Beckham to play in a reserve but not first team due to insurance etc...

It's not the insurance that's the problem. That was never really an issue - just a bit of smoke. Other things holding up registration.

Besides, friendly matches happen all the time in training. If he takes part, he'll be pink bibbed, along with one other Spurs player.

-edit - sorry - pink bibbed - euphemism for do not tackle. Stems from Gridiron where players recovering from injury wear pink bibs to ensure they don't take full hits.

Pink bibbed Maybe they should issue these to 85% of the footballers nowdays who all don't like to be tackled.

I like the look of the Townsend guy, assume that it would be a loan Are we looking at anyone else ?

Isn't he a very similar type of player to Routledge? If so surely we wouldn't be needing both?

Sounds like there is a new marketing angle for Becks - think how much they could make out of a new range of clothing under the "pink bib" label

Jim - know what you are saying, but if we listen to all the rumours, then we have signed a new team by end of Jan window....

You would have to assume its one or other...i think..

Well Walkon/Nodge said something about Carpenter being nailed on - rather than Jesus that could have been Woody?

David Beckham is set to make his Tottenham 'debut' today.

The People says the midfielder is in line for a surprise appearance for Tottenham this week in a behind-closed-doors friendly.

A Spurs XI face QPR reserves on Tuesday and Becks has been mulling over the idea of a run-out.

Midfielder Jamie O’Hara and defender Jonathan Woodgate will be using the match to boost their fitness levels as they return from long term injuries and there is a possibility Beckham will play a small part too.

I'm hoping we can get Townsend after today

Jamie O'Hara - now he's a decent player that could get fit down the Rangers.
