I could not be happier with our current league position, but I also realise how easy it would be to chuck it away if our board is unsupportive.

Bernie once said 'promotion could be the worst thing for this club' That concerns me.
Our board have reputations for being very ruthless business people, plus add a bit of fraud and dodgy dealings with the likes of Flavio and Paladini, alledgedly.

If the board, and I emphasise 'if', are in it just for the 8.5% interest rate on the loan, and the 21mill value of Prime london land that is Loftus Rd for only a 10 mill loan that has defaulted, then they have a very good return on the 'investment'.

Hopefully after tommorrow we will learn that the board is fully supportive of NW, and have agreed to further funding, and onwards and upwards to the prem we go.
But if they don't support Neil, it begs the question, are the board just bleeding the club dry to add to their own personal wealth?

So I worry about the meeting, and wondered what others opinion was. I love my club, and this meeting could dictate so much of our future.
    Fair comment Gerry.

If you weren;t going down the doom and gloom road then my comments are not aimed you but the other 98% of people who post on here .

As for the board meeting tomoorow I honestly don;t think we will here any news as to the content or the outcome of the discussions which are due to take place .

Nor would I read too much into the fact that the meeting is taking place.

I would think that funds, targets , budgets etc were spoken about prior to the start of the season . I would imagine the board said to NW something along the lines of we will support you in the summer (which they did) and we will see where we are in the New Year as to what our next stratergy of investment in the playing side is going to be . NW has stated for a long time that he would look at the position after the Burnley game and that time has now come.

As for comments made by Bernie re; not bothered by promotion etc.

We are talking about one of the most successful men in sport who doesn;t do failure . He has recently INCREASED his stake in the club !! He has not done this to increase his stake in the 8.5% interest on the outstanding loan nor has he done it to increase his stake in any potential property deal .

The global economy is up sh't street and no matter what property you own or purchase in London at the moment its safe to say that it will be worth the same OR maybe less in value for the next 5 years .

HOWEVER one way of making a huge financial killing is to invest in a club , let that club get to the threshold of the Prem promise land and then INCREASE your stake ,release a few quid (be it in loan wages or perms) to push the team over the line and then collect .

Like him or loathe him the man is a genius when it comes to playing sport/money games.

Sit back and enjoy the ride !!

oh damn. bernies gonna plead poverty tomorrow.

The Formula One tycoon says the financial needs of his two daughters and his ex-wife Slavica mean he will be slaving away in motor racing for years to come.

I just get this feeling that lots of stuff happening behind the scenes which has altered the boards ability to support NW as much as origonally promised.

18mill loss for year, 10mill loan deferred, 2mill payment to Callie in Jan, etc..
What we need to understand is taht our rich owners don't give us money, they loan it to us, increasing the debt, and use the stadium land as collaterale, so I'm led to believe anyway, as described in horrific detail on another forum.

So back to the Q. If he can't get his targets, will he go?
          You are a doom merchant......be happy man..we top !!

They know this and I fully expect them to provide Warnock with everything he needs within reason. Obviously he will probably have to sell or loan out and wheel and deal but he loves that part of management anyway. To say he would consider resigning at this stage is ludricous. Adel will only leave at the end of the season if we fail to be promoted.

The Warnock I saw after yesterday's game didn't look like a man with even the slightest thought of resignation.
He was really geeing the fans up, shouting "Come on!" and looked really galvanised and happy with the result.
Not a hint of any trouble ahead.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

so true that. so true. a good summer holiday for one of them bints from daddy would buy us the striker who would get 10 to 15 goals from now to the end of the season to GARUNTEE promotion to the promised land.

in fact, the link deserves its on thread if anyone wants to do the honours

My thoughts are that this board will never support this club properly as Bernie said (quote)not really interested in QPR,seems Mittals have gone cold on idea.the chairman they installed is very quiet. seems the support that was there earlier in the season from Amit,Saskenea has wained and N.W. has been left to fight his own battles. Normally any other club in this position the board would be chirping in with that they would be making money available for a final push. for promotion. How quite it is at at Loftus Rd.

Don't think its as easy as NW walking away,he must be on a lenghthy contract and could be sued if he walks??? Unless its by mutual consent.
