  • Board meet monday. Will NW resign if....

he doesn't get agreement from the owners to capture his reasonable targets?

I just get this feeling that lots of stuff happening behind the scenes which has altered the boards ability to support NW as much as origonally promised.

18mill loss for year, 10mill loan deferred, 2mill payment to Callie in Jan, etc..
What we need to understand is taht our rich owners don't give us money, they loan it to us, increasing the debt, and use the stadium land as collaterale, so I'm led to believe anyway, as described in horrific detail on another forum.

So back to the Q. If he can't get his targets, will he go?

      Go where ?
If you read what he's been saying he's loving his time with us... His family seems settled and we are STILL top of the league... Why on earth would he resign ?
      We got our Ranger's back!

In fact it's all going #### up.
Seriously, QPR are in the best shape for yonks so no need for all this d & g. Its looking for problems for the sake of it.

My guess is that Neil will propose various players to the board. Maybe up to 10 possibilities for loan or contract, and will need to justify each one individually, some getting rejected, and hopefully some sanctioned. Neil will have his definate 'must haves', plus a few maybe's.
Best case is that the board agree to 3 or 4 propositions from NW.
Worst case is that if he had been led to believe that a budget will be available, but the board tell him that the position has now changed, and he is told there is no money, plus he must sell Adel for 5mill because of needing to balance the books, he may be so incensed it could be enough for him to quit.
This is all hypothetical, just wondered what limits NW could be pushed to.

Can someone explain why one needs a board meeting to sign a player(s) on loan? One would think NW has control of a budget and knows how much he has to play with, taking into account the players he has loaned out.

It can only be for approving something that is not in the budget?

All ifs, buts and maybe's, and all very unlikely to happen.

At the end of the day, all of the board are successful businessman. We are in pole position to achieve promotion and receive around 60million in revenue even if we are relegated in the first year. They know this and I fully expect them to provide Warnock with everything he needs within reason. Obviously he will probably have to sell or loan out and wheel and deal but he loves that part of management anyway. To say he would consider resigning at this stage is ludricous. Adel will only leave at the end of the season if we fail to be promoted.
15 years in the wilderness will be a distant memory come Sunday 8th May 2011.

Why the negativity ?? AGAIN !!!

Some of our supporters are beyond help !!

He is managing a team top of the league by 3 points !!

He has stated that he is AHEAD of where he hoped to be at this stage of the season .

He has confirmed that he has identified the players he wants to bring in and has sated that he is close to bringinging in one or two THIS WEEK !

His family are happy , He is happy and he has a confirmed that he has great relationship with the board including Bernie , Flavio , Amit etc

He says the board have already supported him and will continue to do so !!

Why the f**k do some of our alleged fans feel the need to come on here and continually look for the negative angle on this fantastic journey we are currently on ???

Thank christ our manager still has a smile on his face !!

I might be wrong but I think the meeting was last week and the players have been chosen already, it's just about negotiating with them?

Sorry, it was not my intention to be negative or to portray doom and gloom.
I could not be happier with our current league position, but I also realise how easy it would be to chuck it away if our board is unsupportive.

Bernie once said 'promotion could be the worst thing for this club' That concerns me.
Our board have reputations for being very ruthless business people, plus add a bit of fraud and dodgy dealings with the likes of Flavio and Paladini, alledgedly.

If the board, and I emphasise 'if', are in it just for the 8.5% interest rate on the loan, and the 21mill value of Prime london land that is Loftus Rd for only a 10 mill loan that has defaulted, then they have a very good return on the 'investment'.

Hopefully after tommorrow we will learn that the board is fully supportive of NW, and have agreed to further funding, and onwards and upwards to the prem we go.
But if they don't support Neil, it begs the question, are the board just bleeding the club dry to add to their own personal wealth?

So I worry about the meeting, and wondered what others opinion was. I love my club, and this meeting could dictate so much of our future.

Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free

If Warnock left because the board didn't back him, West London would see a riot!
