9 that season in the league.

Surely you're not putting any value of the other 7 in the FA & League Cup. 3 came against Bristol Rovers.......

If 9 goals in the league in 07/08 is the best this guy has managed, and only 14 in the league in his entire career, I don't think this signing is going to be the one to get us up. Also, can he stay fit............................?

Very uninspiring I have to say and hardly the actions of a club who want a proven striker to get us up. A cheap gamble in my opinion!

Goals are goals. We don't have a striker who can score 16 goals a season regardless of FA Cup or not.

Miller is strong, quick and has scored enough at this level to be worth a loan....

Can he stay fit? His record suggests not - most of his matches have been subbed on or subbed off - but if he stays fit he'll be a good signing IMO.

He absolutely tore us to shreds in both games that season and considering our finances and position he is as good as we can realistically get.

Done fook all in 2-3 years.

Even if he's fit and can stay that way, it will take him 5-6 games to get any anything like match fit. He must be as rusty as the hinges on my front gate.

          FFS - I'd rather give Balanta/German a go.

If That is your opinion then fair enough.

Who would you go out and sign taking into account we are looking at frees and loans?

                Kevin Phillips - Loan
                Simon Cox - Loan
                Ebanks-Blake - wouldn't get released though

Austin wouldn't be loaned out, they want hard cash.
Roberts = £30k a week and playing games in the Prem.
Phillips is 38 now and still on good earnings but I'd also take him.
Cox hasn't done anything above L1 and playing games in the Prem.

Fear he will be another hulse - cd take half the season to get match fit. As that list of all our purchases and loans since the takeover showed, by constantly going for the cheaper option we end up spending more as miller is unlikely to be the answer any more than hulse, clarke, pellicori, agyman etc have been. Be delighted 2b proved wrong but another strange decision imho.

Not usually negative about potential signings, but not impressed with Miller.
                      Never have been.

Agree. Hope he is a back up option rather than our first choice.
