I don't know much about the guy, but some here do.
What am I missing that could calm my nerves after seeing his stats?
Years Team Apps† (Gls)†
2005–2008 Manchester City 17 (0)
2007–2008 West Bromwich Albion (loan) 21 (7)
2008– West Bromwich Albion 45 (7)
No goals for Man City and 14 for WBA in 66 appearances (21%). One goal every 5 games!!!!!
Even though Charlie Austin is a risk, I'm sure his natural talent and current match fitness would produce a better return than 1 in 5......

If truly fit then he'll be a great signing.
