  • If Neil Warnock is in total control....

Of all playing affairs, then I ask this question:

"Why is he even being asked to look at players?"

Are they implying that Ledesma can possibly improve our side?
Im sure neil knows exactly where our side needs to improve and who he wants.

Why are we even offering Neil players? Or is this one mans way of squirming back into the transfer scene?

    Worrying

Said this the other day & got no answer.

    My point was;

NW clearly has his own targets why are the club not going out & getting them for him?
Why are players having to be 'suggested' to him in the hope he might like the look of one.

    As I say no reply.

Jeffro mate, I value your opinions a lot, but I think you're getting way off track here.

How do you know that his scouting team aren't recommending these players?
What harm does it do to have a player suggested to you, just to look at?

Plenty of top players have been suggested to managers in the past. And I am sure that Neil knows what he wants. If these players don't fit the bill, then they won't get offered a job.

All posts like this do is get the fan base worrying for no reason, and there are too many of our fans waiting to stick the boot in. No need as this season is proving very successful.
      Your mum would love me...

You are right Benny I am worrying & probably for no reason.

WOB said the other day we are worrying for nothing & I respect his words but its hard to stay totally focused when we are hearing whispers of no money available, Leicester out bidding us for Naughton, players getting injured by the bucket load & constantly linked with players no ones ever heard of (although I respect these guys need a chance)

Just don't want the best chance in 15 years going down the swanny. We are used to disappointment after many many years of it.

            Do clubs ever learn?
Just take a look at Liverpool for a second.Hodgson was on a hiding to nothing. Not really given too much money if any to improve previous managers squad.Gets sack and then they appoint "the messiah"....two games in and he has lost both games....so they want him to bring in players in this window, to possibly play for club whose manager might not be there at end of season...

QPR have mucked around over past few season, god knows how many managers, untill finally we get a manager that has got us to the top of the league, with a few bosmans,a few iffy signings and Adel.
So what happens when this new manager gets us to the top because of his managerial experience...they try to revert to old ways of recommending players to him.Leave that to Neil and his scouting staff.

We are in a strange position at the moment.Do we sign 2-3 CCC players they will strenthen squad to give us that final push? Will these 2-3 players be strong enough for us to compete next year if we do get promotion or will, like with the Newcastle case, be surplus to requirements(Routledge springs to mind)Do we buy some aging but experienced premier ship players, which, if it doesnt work out, we will be left with next season on high wages.

Neil appears to be caught between a rock and a hard place on what sort of players he needs to bring in.

For what is worth, me, i would maybe loan a couple of premiership players - looking at positions we need to strengthen but not alienate the players that we may need next season....I would also then maybe sign 1 or maybe two CCC players that look like they might make the grade in the premiership(a bit like Blackpool with Charlie adams)

I feel for Neil - because what ever way he goes - some fans are going to disagree with. That said, thats what he is paid for...Board..let him do the job you have paid him to do and you lot sit in the background and smike your big round fat cigars.

Warnock said: "The powers-that-be want me to have a look at the lad – and that’s fine with me. But I do need to get other players in, so I hope that if Emmanuel does get invited to stay – it doesn’t affect our other plans.

I am puzzled how Ledesma return ever arose? If we are going to bring someone back then better to go get Routledge.

Warnock's own choices are very easy to spot. They have all played for him in the past and/or live near his farm or come from Sheffield. Glad I could clear that up

                  Something doesnt sit right.
ANd why is it Paladini's ex mates being suggested too?

the article confirms your worry Jeffro in the ledesma thread, just truely shocking. Get rid of the man, he's making flavio look lost for words.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

GTP mate.... That is my worry, the difference of working for east london hard working Gold + Sullivan or being given players by Paladini.
I really hope he doesnt f this up as its our best shot ever to go up.

Weare, I think even having players suggested, neil will feel undermines him and Mick Jones role of rebuilding the team with their own targets..

I just really dont understand why its Ledesma.. Why not Routledge as already said; others wouldnt be moaning if we wanted him back.

                              Smacks of Paladini involvement.
