Fifa should keep their noses out of the clubs business. It's not for them to say what a club should spend, as long as a club does not over stretch itself. If you want something and can afford it, who's to say you can't have it. Who died and made Fat Blatter God.

Don't it also include any sponsorships you can generate too?

It only counts for clubs playing in europe. It everything that comes in ou can spend out. On this matter the only people going to get hurt are the fans on ticket cost. Said it before the people to blame for the high cost of football is the players wages. If have players from top on 250K to lower league on 1k per week. How many on here can say that they earn 52K min a year not many my guess. When players wages come down the so well cost of football. I think all these players who go on about the fans and how great they are and the ones who moan about when we boo should look at themselves and remember they are the one that well kill the atmophere in grounds and make it more like tennis.

I thought they said they wanted to limit the amount that a sponsor can give ?
If so, how dare they interfere with a clubs revenue.

It is meant to stop big clubs spending beyond their means to be successful in Europe.Won't affect us unless we qualify for the Champions League.Good idea in theory but could backfire in practice with clubs raising admittance prices to generate cash flow.

At Blackburn I noticed that they're selling half season tickets for £125 and tickets for their next home game are a tenner. My point is that pure crowd numbers are not necessarily indicative of £turnover. Although our gates are low I suspect our matchday revenue is a lot higher than many clubs that have bigger gates than us.

If clubs have to generate their own income, why can no other football club have their own TV channel?

One question, how can they do this without ripping fans off?

Will they reduce player wages and introduce a wage cap?

wage cap won't work, tried it once, everybody went to spain, now players are going to spain cause of the taxes, and you can't get the big clubs to agree to a wage cap.

it is not about gate receipts it is about not spending more than you generate.

So all income can be included other than donations from rich owners.

The idea is because FIFA/UEFA believe that clubs are going bust and they are correct.

They also believe it is only a matter of time before a world football brand goes under - probably also correct.

They also beleive that the big clubs are getting bigger and that the Champions League is no longer competitive or good for football as a whole. They are correct again.

The only area that the argument falls down is that this plays into the hands of Arsenal, Man U, Barca, Real Madrid and Bayern. They generate the most revenue so will get bigger and bigger.

They have the right idea and they do not always want to hurt football and English clubs (contrary to popular belief in this country). Unfortunately, the policies they introduce may not fix the problem and could make some elements of it fare worse.
