He has as much (or as little) nous or insight to the reality as any one on this Board. Why his thoughts are newsworthy is beyond me.

Lets say he is right, what would be the point in spending £50m in the summer if you haven't given the funds the manager needs today to get you to the Premiership?

Yes we're top of the league, yes we have the best defensive record in the division blah blah blah BUT and it is a massive BUT we are threadbare. We've got injuries galore and the squad that got us to where we are isn't in a healthy state right now. We've lost Walker, Mackie and Agyemang all of whom were in the match day squad. Ephraim, Smith, Rowlands, Mahon and Hall are all reportedly injured. Cook and Buzsaky are injured. We've got a couple of players finding their feet who may or may not settle and perform (PVM and Tofas). We got Hulse and Clarke who aren't in form and we've got 5 defenders (6 if you count Hall but currently not fit).

Not one to look negatively on things but with 21 matches to go we've got plenty of time to first be caught and secondly to be taken over and slip down the division. Only a couple of seasons ago this happened to Watford and if we don't invest now then what is the point in investing in the summer?

Love you Sir Pie. Best post I have seen in an age mate.

It feels a bit like banging your head on the proverbial brick wall lately as people on here seem intent (god knows why) on trying to avoid the obvious need for players with cliches like "in warnock we trust" etc when even Warnock is saying he needs players in.

                    I must concur Sirpie.

All this premiership talk is a joke shouldn't we make sure we are going to get there first?

People keep talking about us being top & this is after 24 games or whatever, well I'm sorry to burst peoples bubbles but that means sh!t right now. Its what we do here on in that counts not what we have done previously. If we don't strengthen significantly I can see us play offs very best. Why rest on our laurels? Let's get the damn job done!

                    Ahhhhh that's better.
