    Sounds about right
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

If Nw is making the final decision I have no issue
      agree
if its Warnock's choice then lets see what he can get out of him..

Yes I am sure NW will make the final decision but to me its a waisted trial, we all know ledesma isn't good enough. He has been plying his trade in serie c so lets move on and not look for past players and show more ambition
WeAre: mate, apologies if I was harsh but I don't think there was anything personal or unpleasant in that post or any of my other posts. Was just making the point that some are a bit too quick to see conspiracies everywhere (and I speak as one who thinks its really important Warno does have the final say in transfers).

As for Ledesma I agree with Morris. I thought he was excellent for us and not just in the Carlisle game everyone talks about. MYU made a good point earlier that he was MOTM virtually every game he played for us. Accept our standards have risen since and accept he is not the kind of player I would consider a priority right now and also accept none of us know how he has been doing in Italy, BUT I do remember a player of cracking ability and if he has bulked up a bit I think under Warnock's care he could still become a very good player for us. I for one was sad when he left and am delighted the club is giving him a second chance.

The game I remember him for was Birmingham home in the snow with 10 men! He was awesome, ! If we can get him playing in this team he could be a gem!
Great player to have on the bench to change a game, he is not Adel but nobody in this division is! Yet some of us still #### him

Excellent player. Was feared by the opposition. Knew how to dive also.
Very nice touch and would be surrounded by a lot stronger team than he was at that time.

I agree with the comments that he was our best player at that time.

Could be a huge asset in a table topping team. Far better than the likes of Clarke without any shadow of a doubt.

As has been said... don't speak for me.
              It's your opinion - fine.

If he is as good as people says he is what has happened to his career? Injury? Or just not fulfilled potential?

If it's injury the could he be another Rowan Vine - once very good but 3 years on not the same player as before.

                    • i cant belive all this hype.
a trialists have run outs with the stiffs all the time.
b so what if gp or flabbio offered him to nw
c no offence to clarke but seen enough to know hes not good enough so if ledesma is anywhere near as good as he was in 2009 then will improve the squad imo.
d lee cook played 70 minutes today can only be a good thing

Show me where I've said Warnock should walk out.

I said I wouldn't blame him. What is being served up isn't what Warnock signed up to.

Conspiracies? You betcha. Seen enough in 35 years but others are of course entitled to the Rose Tinted view that may fit in with their world view as I am mine.

Less of the petty name calling too.

                          • Perhaps Warnock wants Ledesma.

Afterall we have the best coach to get the best out of the player. I think Ledesma has a lot of potential and was wasted under dowie/sousa. I'm sure with NW coaching him he could be something special.

So after chasing the likes of McAnuff, Walters, Roberts and Watson, we're prepared to believe that Warnock PROACTIVELY went to the Board and said "get me Emmanuel Ledesma"?

                              Ho hum.

                              • from what I remember, he wasn't afraid to take players on, and that's what we liked about him. Yes, he dived a few times, same theatricals as a certain other player, but then we'll have two of them, and twice as many penalties.
