Funnily enough I mentioned our supposed interest in him last week to a contact at Brighton and they were unaware of our bid. They have made formal bids and didn't think there was any competition.

Poyet really rates Harley and sees him as being a good player at Championship level if they go up. Maybe not quite as bad as some made out on here when he was mentioned. Poyet has Brighton playing way beyond their potential and they hold him in high stock there. He knows a good player.

Good manager Gus Poyet, am sure he will manage in the top flight eventually. Re this player although I wd lke to start getting players from the lower leagues to come through, perhaps after being loaned out again for a year or two, I don't think players like this are what we need at the moment - and Warnock seems to realise that. Besides anyone lower league would be a buy rather than loan, and as Warno doesn't have the proverbial to urinate in, such deals are off the agenda.
