I'd love Simon Cox down at W12.

Although I do trust Neils judgement on a player, and im guessing he would only be backup.
        Thanks Morris.

As i said you've got a good eye for a player hence why i was wondering if you thought Hill was decent before signing. If you thought he was good but Shotton was average then i'd have a better idea of just how good a player he is.

I though Shotten looked pretty good, and remember him having pace. I see through looking him up as well, he can play CB or RB.

He's 6ft 3, so naturally he isn't the quickest, but compared to Hill, Gorkss etc, he is probably reasonably fast.

If Neil wants him then I trust his judgement.

How tall is the worlds fastest man?

              Agree about Warnock's judgement.

No idea, but im sure Usains a big lad.

Im not making the statement on his pace purely because of his height (that would be silly) ive seen him play as I said and while he's not Clint Hill slow, I wouldn't class him as quick.

Its just that you said he's 6ft 3 so naturally he isn't the quickest which would suggest you are saying because of his height he can't be quick. Maybe its not what you meant to say but it is what you said.

Glad we're looking at bringing defenders in we desperately need them!

Yeah fair play SirPie I should of worded it differently, but im sure you will agree that as a rule its normally shorter people who are quicker. Obviously there are some exceptions to that, like Usain Bolt!

                      Linford Christie was tall.
                      Still is.

So was King Kong, and he'd beat Aaron Lennon in a foot race.

Although I have no proof of that.

Cox would be great, much better than Miller imho.

Agreed, id be pretty dissapointed with Miller, another injury prone player.

I just found this about Shotton on a Stoke forum...

                            http://oatcakefanzine.proboards.com/...t&thread=53498

Someone mentioned he's got strength and pace, and can score.

Another said he's got the composure of Rio and aerial ability of Terry. Ok, it's probably a kind comparison, but on paper, from fans who've seen him 1st hand, he looks good.

Talking about his time at Tranmere by the looks of it...in League 1.

Big jump from Tranmere to the top of the Championship so I wouldn't read too much into it. However I will say again if NW wants him then I trust his judgement.

Sounds good but that was in 2008! If he had fulfilled his potential no doubt he would be in Stokes side now?

As Morris said, I trust Warnocks judgement.

Cox would be a fantastic signing by the way.
