  • Just seen the mackie tackle....

Was a 50-50 all day long and all those Blackburn supporters on the radio saying mackie went in to do givet are so wrong, the ball was there to be won

    Defo 50 / 50

Can't believe anyone could say different. Did you see that w@nker Diouf hit Orr round the head at the end of the game.

And Andy Townsend having a laugh about Diouf as if he's just a little cheeky rascal. Mug

Heard a few Blackburn fans ringing in on 606 saying the injury was all mackie's doing and that he went into the challenge to hurt givet. Robbie savage was doing the phone in with some other bloke and all they could say is they hadn't seen the tackle but were slating Diouf.

Surprised Diouf was still on the pitch at the end thought kean would of subbed him and sent him straight to the dressing room to take the sting out of the situation. See him give Orr a clip round the head while his back was turned typical Diouf stunt.

Townsend and co were just as bad all sitting there having a laugh about it saying it's just the same old el hadj Diouf on a wind up and Warnock shouldnt of taken the bait.

I'm sure Jamie ain't having a giggle watching that on tv laid on his back with his leg in plaster and season in tatters

It was definately a 50 50. Ball was there to be won.

Diouf is scu m of the earth!
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Make you right there Goddard. Useless pundit. Thought his conduct during that section about us was wrong. What's to laugh at? Pr!ck. As if NW hasn't a right to lambast the s cumbag Diouf its not right to say he took the bait.

God I'm p!ssed off tonight. Need a cold glass of milk with ice I think.. That always cheers me up. :-)

Hate to disagree, but the TV angle was quite deceptive.
As soon as Mackie went flying in, my first thought was, "**** another red card" and unfortunately he came off worst. Was level with it, and he was very, very high -- something that wasn't visible on the (elevated) TV angle.
Not 50-50 at all, I'm afraid.

No excuse for Diouf's outburst though, nor for the ref to try and get the Rangers players to carry him off the pitch (before our physio insisted on a stretcher being used), nor for Blackburn's ridiculous assigning of two paramedics and a doctor to THEIR player's bruised knee, while Mackie was in agony with a broken leg and unattended by anyone other than our physio.
Bruised knee for home player = decent stretcher; double break for away player = something which looked like a bit of plastic stretched over two tent poles.
Medical side of this was terrible and could well have worsened the injury (especially with the ref making Mackie stand up at one point, and tapping his watch to imply that Mackie was time-wasting).
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

NW summed it up for me "I am just glad Gorkss's header didn't go in"

Disaster - we should just play the kids for every cup game - I mean all of them.

It was an obvious 50-50 and my initial reaction was that both players legs must have been mangled. Mackie's hand went straight up and it was bewildering why physios didn't charge onto pitch - I could tell from 50yds away it was serious. REf just seemed to saunter around for ages; I reckon he was so lost in worrying what cards to dish out he forgot there were two maimed players in front of him.
There was another incident in the second half when Hulse was left face down and immobile on the pitch (didn't see what happened - suspect off the ball snidey dig). Anyway, ref let play go on for effing ages, don't think he stopped play until ball went out and even then he casually strolled over to Hulse who still hadn't moved and then still took a while to actually beckon physio on. I was really incensed - it was conceivable Hulse was KO'd and or swallowed tongue.... thought ref showed total disregard for Rob's well-being and safety.

Pedal that is shocking to read & that b@rstard ref should be held to account.

                              Who was it btw?
