This is a fuller report on his blog

Neil Warnock has brought some sanity to the QPR madhouse, but the notion that he’s not spent much money is pure lunacy. Since taking over at a club that had spent a staggering amount on players onl…

Add the cost to the club for players like Ledesma, Parejo, Di Carmine, Tomassi, Walker, Agyemang, Alberti, Pellicori, Bent, Priskin, Matt Hill, Quashie, Mahon, Cook, Delaney, Lee, Vine, Ikeme - it's something like 60 different players we've signed since the takeover.

Since day one of the transfer window it's been quantity over quality and because of that we've paid more then we ever needed to. Take Agyemang for example, within days of him signing for us Ebanks-Blake signed for Wolves. We paid £600k whilst Wolves paid £1.5m and other than one purple patch he hasn't delivered since for us. Add the cost of then bringing in De Carmine, Priskin, Bent, Clarke, Hulse and HH and we've paid way over what it would have cost to have signed Ebanks-Blake in the first place.

This is precisely right. And in fairness to the owners - who aren't and don't claim to be football people - they would be perfectly entitled to hold certain people to account for that spending, and you can see why they would be reluctant to chuck more money at it. If we had have had Warnock from the start he probably would have spent the money on a handful of top drawer signings - like Ebanks-Blake - and then made do with some free transfer (Hill, Derry) type players to fill in the gaps. The problem is not so much the total spend as how it has been spent, though of course the owners are responsible for going through loads of managers and when you have manager churn you inevitably get player churn, too. Every club buys a fair number of turkeys but we have probably bought and in particular loaned more than our fair share.

That of course would be true, but even by Warnock admission he said that this summer cost more than previous years.

You need that little bit of quality and whilst it costs more 7-8 loans per season, he wanted a squad.

He is doing a really good job

The players loans you talk about cost peanuts or didn't cost a fee at all.

                        60 players since the takeover?

We have a squad of about 28 now..

Maybe someone can do some stats on how many other clubs have brought in over 4 years, you'd be surprised.

You can make of this what you want. Warnocks statement of 'We haven't spent that much money' could also be looked at in many different ways. He was made a series of promises when he took over from the club that he would be backed significantly and at present this hasn't been the case which I believe is the angle he is getting at.

Also McIntyre talks about loads of different players, most of which were not brought in under him so how he can push all that back at Warnock is hidious. Warnock hasn't spent much money at present but the board have splashed the cash since the takeover compared to other Championship clubs, albeit on the wrong type of players largely to get us out of this division.

Always up for a challenge - you name a couple of teams and I'll do the work.

Dazzer is quite right here - all this talk is becoming confused as most of the players mentioned came (and mostly left) before NW was even here.
