  • Surely Better To Wait On A Striker?

I know our impatience of wanting someone in now, but surely its best to see what premiership clubs do first? We could get someone in now, then find better elsewhere. Clubs like Birmingham, Sunderland, Wba and others clubs will do business in next couple of weeks

Personally, if need be I'd wait to deadline day or even after for a striker to bring in on loan

oh right. sooner the better for me tho. adel will hit a drought like mackie has, hulse or heider will never score. we do need to adress it before we are known as qprnil i fear.
im gonna put my neck on the block and say neil will spend more this month than he ever has before. im certain of it after that twitter thing.

NO MORE LOANS!! If We are serious about going up lets get OUR players in - its worked so far as opposed to last seasons debacle. Forward needed now, now once we start to slide.

Best chance we've had for donkeys - lets not be tight now and blow it.

            It will be loans..

Just much better quality than the ones in the past.

Kyle Walker showed what a good loan can do

To be fair, you cannot win the league with more than 2 loan players

Heard all this crap last time about waiting. Buying more time. Why wait?

If they don't know they're targets by now then we might as well give up.

Just buy someone decent ffs its only been 15 years since we were in the top flight what's the urgency!!

                  Why wait?

It is a gamble to rely on the Prem clubs to do their own deals, before deciding to loan out players in February.

Good forwards are likely to be bought as soon as they are made available at the right price, or if a big bid is made for someone who was not though to be for sale.

Charlie Austin will be sold during this window. If QPR leave it until towards the end of the month, it will be too late. There are already a number of clubs waiting to make a bid.

Is Kevin Phillips fit. If he is, he could very well be available if Birmingham sign Miller. He would be great to bring on for the last 20 mins.

Loans do work, but as we all know too well, they can be recalled at short notice.

Perfectly sensible to wait we have two league games before the end of January?

We could just be letting a gem go, by going in too quick.

Would you be gutted if Leeds or cardiff get in a striker, because a big club have a surplus of stikers and let one out on loan?

but if we don't score in the 2 January fixtures it could be a different story. Stupid to wait in my opinion

We have been hearing over the past few years "if we are up there the board will spend", well, we are up there with a great CHANCE of going up, and they still don't want to put their hands in their pockets to give us that extra lift. Its always been about loans with these owners, weather its Flav, Bernie or the Mittals.

If we don't go up, we don't deserve to go up, and we have no one to blame but ourselves.

You are gambling on a Prem side making a decent striker available. They might not, and in any case what is there to stop QPR going in for him as well?

QPR only have Helguson and Hulse who are fit and decent at this level. So if QPR signed Austin, they could still sign Santa Cruz,Vela, Bendtner or whoever this Prem possibility might be.

As G.T.P. says it has been 15 years (anyone recall the Levellers song?), and that is long enough for me.

Tubbs from Crawley could be a player worth looking at closely on Monday night against Derby. He could be another Austin in the making.

We could also shoot ourselves in the foot by waiting & someone else come in and buy a target of ours it goes both ways.

Hull acted early in getting Maclean & Fryatt 2 players I know would of been very welcome down here as we've heard the names mentioned many times before.

All about opinions, just don't agree.

A player might not make much impact in 2 games, it what he does in last 19 games that matters.

Say we go for Austin (hyperthectical) which many are harping on about and someone like Owen, Roberts, Yakubu, Cox, Campbell or Eubanks Blake become available?
