  • Walker on QPR

“I’ve come in on a high. I haven’t lost many games at QPR so hopefully we can go from there and take it onto the next step,” he said.

“The move here was sorted out through my agent and I initially thought I was staying at QPR for the remainder of the season.

“But it was always the intention of Tottenham that if I could get a Premier League club then I would go to one instead. My agent told me ‘Villa’ and I was rubbing my hands really. It’s a massive club and I’m just excited for the future.

“I enjoyed it at QPR and the fans were great down there. Hopefully I can take the next step and carry on my form up here and keep doing well.”

    Stupid agent :yush:

He gave everything to us while he was here... and that's all you can ask, really.

        Agree.

Can't blame the lad for wanting to play Prem football as opposed to Championship football.

Did a superb job when here and good luck to him.

Top player & seems like a nice lad.

Don't think we will ever see him in the hoops again.

          Destined for the top.

If he'd have just waited he could have been playing there with us and if Spuds had let him go at the end of the season it could have been on a permanent basis too.
He would have been held high in esteem by our fans especially as being part of the side who helped us gain promotion, but all that is history now.
Oh well good luck to him.

You have to accept that football has changed these days and it is no different than you and i being offered a bigger salary by a bigger company to go and work for them.

I think hero worship means little to todays youngster's.It's all about the cash and gash that goes with it.

What is it with these Agents based around the West Midlands? Bunch of short sighted bertie blunts.....

Oops --- almost went "Boardroom" there!

Hopefully Villa will continue to struggle, the Brummie chav's will turn on the players and Walker will demand a move back to where he "is loved" at W12 to play at a higher level with us.

We've just got to get there first.........

                            Keep the faith
I need some time in the sunshine, I gotta slow it right down.

He is being groomed.First part to get long run in CCC side. Now, he will play for premiership side.Next season, if his progress continues, he will be right back for Spurs. They will not sell him to us if we went up...they paid 5 mill for him.Get over it.Did a great job and good luck to him...and watch out for those Zulu's
