  • Is our squad big and strong enough to see out the season?

Is it going to be a case of 'who's got the biggest squad wins'? We're now coming to that time of the season when teams are going to be decimated by injuries and suspensions. It seems we're in trouble already now with strikers, can we hang on with what we've got, and it's just a blip?

We're already over exposed as weak up front. Now clear Hulse not good enough, Dave, no matter what you think of him, is crocked, Clarke total shite and should never have been given the shirt. So we are down to Adel, Heidur and hoping Buz gets better and Mackie starts scoring again. Scary times ahead now that we are starting to believe.

We need cover in defence and at least one decent striker. Get those and we might crawl over finish line.

Disagree on Hulse. Good target man but not goal scorer. We either need midfielders to all be amongst the goals for rest of season, move Smith or Mackie up front as out and out strikers or spend proper money on goal poacher. Beckford on loan would suit me.

So frustrating when I think just how good Vine was when he joined and how much we are paying on his wages. Whilst not out and out goal scorer he was one of the most exciting attacking players seen in hoops for years. Now he can't even hack League One.

I have said this many times, the Championship is the hardest league in the world and the hardest to get out of, not only do you need quality but you also need depth.

We have made a fantastic start but we are only half way through, we do need some new faces as we can't stick to the same 11 every week.

This Transfer window is the most inportant to QPR and will make or break the season.

At this time with this squad Warnock is doing a Holloway except better because i think Blackpool were stronger then what we are now. We are in a great position to win this league but if i'm honest with my self i got to be happy with anything in the top 6.

The Holloway comparison is interesting. In this window last year Blackpool weren't even in a play off position. But Olly bought in DJ Campbell and Stephen Dobbie in this window who went on to score 16 between them in the remainder of the season to fire them into the Premership, via a late run in thru the play offs. So using tht as a precedent it is a useful window to strengthen for the final push. Real question is will we. We all know we should. Even the Board and Warnock must know we should. But will we?????

I fear that a mixture of Warnocks stubborness and our boards refusal to spend any decent money on a quality player may come back to bite our best ever chance of returning to the premiership and getting our 90 million pot of gold.

                          .
dont agree with that, its spl standard at the very best this year. worst its ever been in terms of quality. hence us still 5 points lear after a terrible run of late.

To answer the question, NO! It's obvious we need to strengthen in some key positions! I'm willing to give NW and the board a little time to bring some quality in, otherwise we could be in for a huge second half let down!

If Neil Warnock was reading this, he'd say "no" as well.
Of course we need to strengthen. He knows that, we all do.

There were plenty of threads like this during the summer.. and enough humble pie has already been eaten because of that.

So far, our collections of summer donkeys, has-beens, cheapskate signings, and lack of quality has seen us sit 5 points clear at the top.
                              As a team.

See who we bring in, see how they actually perform, and see how we end up in may.
